Hey so as far as your dilemma in the description I would suggest a tap nine (look up a tap 5 as they are much more easily found but its the exact same concept) or you could even try some triple strokes depending on the rebound of the drum head that you have there but my guess is it does not have enough tension. Good work with this though man, keep it up

Hey, I'm a percussionist, but I've never played rock band. You say your problem is an odd numbered roll, but wouldn't a nine-stroke roll fit in there? Again, I'm don't play this game, so maybe this is a stupid suggestion lol.
