Sorry, I know this video was about Mazhar Khan but I have to mention that there has never been anyone like Zeenat Aman, nor there ever will be. She is the epitome of grace and courage under adversity. Btw, coming back to the topic, I saw Shaan in 1980 in a theatre in Mulund, Mumbai. I was 4 yrs old! And the Abdul character has remained with me ever since. And that song by Rafi? Priceless!

Mazhar Khan started this ambitious project Gang in 1989. Mazhar khan career struggled through out & was playing only side roles throughout 1980s. He also quit acting with last appearance in Angaar released in 1992. He had a turmoil family with first separation from Rubiana Khan & later marrying Zeenat Aman which also lasted only few years. Than he died after long illness due to kidney failure in 1998. Gang was realeased after several years of delay & two years after his death in 2000 . After watching Gang, I felt that Mazhar Khan depiction of human emotions, his way of telling story & directorial vision was deep & real. His vision of film making was head of his time. Very unfortunate that bollywood failed to utilize his rare talent of film making. My heartfelt homage to this brilliant film maker who left the world at the age of 43.

Mazhar khan's wife is Jeenat Aman ji. He was suffering from inferiority complex due to this Jeenat ji was victim of domestic violence. Her one eye is badly damaged due to that. Good acting does not matter but Good human qualities does matter 🙏

Zeenat Aman was such a beautiful woman with such an ugly love life. She got used and abused by some horrible men but both got their just deserves. Sanjay Khan slapped her so hard he disfigured her eye and now look at his face. Mazhar Khan died early. Both men got hit by karma hard.

I think you got that wrong. Mazhar's family had beaten up Zeenat when her eye got affected. Go back and check some of her old photos. Her eye is injured post Mazhar Khan. But Sanjay Khan also abused her. It was her fault too for being with abusive men.
