If you read the book, you will know that he actually WAS saved. I won't give you spoilers, but he is not evil and he doesn't make such horrible things, he actually really loved Christine and he wasn't abusive. The book is much better than this game 🙄

9:50 i think i understood the difference between choosing "chains" and "mask" If you choose the mask, you literally blame Erik for everything that happened and for his tragic fate (WRONG) If you choose the chains, you blame the abusers and the way Erik was treated for what happened and by his tragic fate (RIGHT)

True, I believe that erik was the victim of society ,the world, they tried to push him down. Although I admit that he managed to show his true potential and shine when hatim took him under his wings but that couldn’t heal him although I don’t dislike hatim as he’s a normal human who tried to do his best but i do wish there was someone who could help him when he wasn’t beyond repair.

I'm I the only one who felt like hatim was hated by everyone for no reason? , like when he tell them the story they always say he made Erik a monster , when it's not, Erik has trauma in his life and no one tried to solve it , he became like this because no one helped him , Christine should've at least told Erik she would be his friend not lover - , I feel like even after everything no one achieved a happy ending except for some side characters , smh hatim and Erik are my fav and they deserve better

Man i also HATE Melek, to me she's just an useless character, i hate feminism and this idea of "a strong woman is the one that destroys men", and Erik indeed needed to understand his feelings and die as a good man, unlike his decision in the game. I can't blame MazM Erik and i know he was in pain, but they kinda ruined his redemption

@Alessia Whitesoul I truly loved Christine's personality in the beginning and middle of the game. She was truly strong, perhaps too self-sacrificial, but she was one of rare characters of the same type that I actually liked. The ending felt wrong and forced to me, so I had to check the Wikipedia page of the book to see what happens there and compare. I noticed that the majority of the story is the same, except for the ending. And it's saddening that the ending is changed, because it seems like it was much more passionate, emotional and intense in the book. I assume that developers felt that he didn't deserve to be redeemed or to do that kind thing in the end. But that also made the ending unfulfilling and empty in my opinion. I'll have to watch the movie or read the actual book to wash away this horrible feeling that it left.

Yes. I hate MazM Christine more than any other version, she's selfish, imature, dumb and cruel. A *heartless devil* 1990 Christine - from the miniseries - and the original novel one are way better :)

Oh my god my eyes hurts... im crying so hard... also this detective guy... i thought he would be related to Erik or smt they kinda look alike and share the same fashion choises- same type of hat same big coat and neck wrap- you know "like father like son" stuff. he got the same loong hair and eyes he is like non villianized version of Erik- maybe he IS related to Erik but he didnt even said his name soooo we will never know... this game was amazing we a wanned a happy ending for Erik and Hatim but.... they are doomed to be not happy by those innocent souls they hurt... i wish there was a alternative ending to this story... like Hatim did read the letter and went after Erik and helped him at the last second from him choking himself to death... and they like... try to be better and at least live a normal life until erik died from some kind of heart attack or smt its an amazings story the game is free go play it NOW ♡♡

Erik and Hatim DID deserved to be happy, no matter what. Erik could find a good single girl that would love him forever and marry him... or he could actually date Hatim WAIT WHAT? WHAT DID I SAY? Forget it, i was kidding 😁 But i kinda liked this theory about the dectetive being related to Erik, or his family, something like this. Can you imagine a great plot-twist when the detective turns to Hatim and says: "HEY MAN, GUESS WHAT? I'M ERIK'S LOST YOUNGER BROTHER AND I KNOW HOW TO REVIVE HIM" Ok, i went crazy in the last part, sorry 😅

@@mieshocked1450 oh boi i thought about Hatim n Eric being together too but then Hatim lowkey raised him (we see in the game that Erik was a little boy and Hatim was a older hot dude) if we say they are 10 years apart that makes Hatim 60 so theyve lived like 40 more years together.... ive lowkey loved to see them recarnate amd be together as lovers omg this story cpuldve had much more dept if the movie of Phantom of the Opera didnt choose the MOST BORING VERSION OF IT. a phantom story without the Persian is just... no. I wish we can get a phantom of opera 2 and have detective tell their version of the story or orr Its about Erik n Hatim and how Erik slowly becomes the phantom of the opera and how he meets Melek (also omg im Turkish and her being in this game made me so damn happy its my first time seeing a turkish person in a game- AND ITS A WOMEN. I already knew what the name "Melek" ment so... it wasnt a suprise when Erik explained it saying "Melek means Angel and you are evil") poor Melek she missed her family and her cat :")💖 Btw im sure Hatim and Erik is in love in a non sexual way but in a verrry verry loving way idk what kind of love.. brothlery... romanticaly?? All i know is they love eachother and it broke my heart to see Hatim dig out Erik's corpse... they wouldve lived together and be happy idk why Erik was so hopeless when the hope of his life was there for him....

I agree with almost everything, and really, Erik's fate was terribly sad and underseved, but think with me: this game has some "mystical" things, like the siren, the firehead and the mother's "spirit" (whatever i think its actually only Erik's psychologic), but imagine a Mazm: Phantom of the Opera PART 2?? I mean, years after Hatim's death, and Erik's spirit is atually still awake? It would be wreid, but awasome. And Hatim is actually 6 years old older than Erik. When he was 50, Hatim was 56, and Erik was a teenager when he met Hatim for the first time. They have indeed a lovely relantionship, but i doubt its romantic (LGBT+). Btw sorry for my english, im not american!
