Let me tell you the exact definition of a startup "Startup is a venture that is started buy a person who have identified a problem in the market and to solve a problem for betterment of the society with his or her innovative ideas and in the process earn the profit (but it is not main priority for the starting phase). Actually it is not your fault in India we use business and startup interchangeable but you have to understand business is a venture that is purely started for the profit and business can also be something which is not innovative just the traditional process. Startup can be called as business but a business cannot be classified as a startup. And after the initial 4 to 5 years of a startup when it starts to earn some profit then it will be classified as business because then the company have solve the problem in the market and now want to earn a lot of profit from its product or service. Let me give you an example Amazon which was a bookseller company in the starting and have not earned profit till 2014. It was just started to solve the problem to make the old in efficient system of renting and buying books which was the societal problem and Jeff bezos the owner of the company came out with a innovative idea of the website which will connect the sellers to buyers to rent or buy online. Understood? One more example like you can see unacademy vedantu and the old business groups like Aditya Birla group Tata group Reliance group on one hand there are the startup companies which was started to revolutionize the online education and on the other hand there are old big business groups which are operational for almost 90 to 100 years you know what are the differences between them the first category companies are still in loss but second type of companies are making the profits and huge profits actually which is the sole purpose of a business not a startup. ' Don't Take any Franchise in Emotions only There are many important factors to consider when choosing a franchise, such as market research, Location, Target Audience, financial viability, and the reputation of the brand. If someone wants to start a structured business and doesn't have any experience it's quiet irresponsible to tell them to invest in a franchise. I could not understand one thing When owner knew that Chai ka order value kaam hoga to why he spend such a huge amount , second why he must have been aware how a franchise work . I can understand the consternation of the franchisee owners but the success of their pushback will rely on the contract they signed. No one can guarantee the success of your outlet, If the contract doesn't promise the output these owners are talking about Praful Billore can't be accused of anything. Now that doesn't mean what he did was right, obviously he made an extremely predatory contract and gave you false hope to willingly sign up for it but legally nothing will happen to him. These guys saw a homeboy doing great and became starry eyed, they believed him blindly and Praful Billore took full advantage of that. His reputation might take a hit but he isn't posed to give pay backs. Thats my understanding, unless someone will read the contract itself and find some loophole or some specific clause that wasn't fullfiled in their case.
