Done both CA+MBA(IIM B). What you need to know is CA teaches you how to deal in life by doing 5 years of struggle while MBA only gives you advantage while entering corporate life. Once you enter corporate life in 3-4 yrs when you want to change job no one gives a shit about your degree only thing that matters is your experience then. No sky limit salary for any profession. CAs are mostly CFO or BODs in companies while MBAs are just regional head most of the time

What I dont understand is why is CA so much behind than BTech in terms of salary. CA takes atleast 5 years. Engineering takes 4 yrs. However, good btech colleges place so many students at 20LPA or if not that atleast 12LPA. However average salary of CA in India is 6-7 LPA. My friends who cracked CA in 1st attempt, did articleship in Big 4 got placed at less than 11LPA.

I can clear mba exams with one day study. That's why it's one day course. You cannot compare CA even with IIT. I agree that initially they get less packages, but it doesn't mean you will compare this one day course with CA.

I disagree with you that CA is only about accounting, Audit and Tax. CAs also learn about finance as well. For the fact, most of the CFOs in top companies in India are CAs not MBA. CAs are also becoming Investment bankers, Portfolio managers and Stock Market Investors as well. I hope you know Rakesh Jhunjhunwala he's the top Investor In india, he's also a CA. First of all why there is a comparison between ca and mba both are different, the core area of mba is about management in hr , marketing, finance ,but ca is a professional course. Mba students are employed in companies only , in case of ca , a student have 2 options whether go for job or start a practice , many people switch to practice after gaining experience in a company. If you are talking about MBA only top B schools graduates earn handsome package . I am a cs student. Professional courses like ca, cs , cma have both options whether go for practice and job . Once you are experienced as a ca in practice you can earn more than mba graduates , as statutory audit can be only done by ca firm or individual who is ca in practice. In terms of knowledge CAs are far better than mba students. Not all mba graduates can provide consultation on law , tax , audit simultaneously, but a ca ,cs and cma professionals can do

CAs today, are not just limited to simple accounting, taxation and audit professional. The capabilities of CAs go further to cover areas of Risk Management, systems audit, financial analysis, Investment banking, risk advisory, equity research etc. India is already third largest in the world in Startup race... We can already see spike in the demand of CAs.. The average package is rising.. And if we talk about technological advancement and Artificial intelligence, it is not just affecting CA professionals but others as well.. It's always about learning and the skills you posses... I know CAs who earn 20k per month and CAs who earns in Lakhs per month.. Same goes with doctors, same goes with engineers.. It's about skills... And the reason behind all that criticism is the passing percentage... Students get into CA field with great charisma and vision and after not being able to pass started criticising the profession... I hope you get my point...

@@desireprime. bro my 2 brothers are CA ….one of my brother became ca 12 years before and his salary is 28 lakhs , and other one become 6 years before and his salary is 18 lakh ……..it always depends on knowledge ,whatever the degree you have . And this is just a salary, they are also earning a lot from stock market . So it’s not just about getting degree …any degree may it be mba or ca or doctor …..I also know so many CAs who are earning in crores p.a.

Even in practice gov and icai has imposed restriction which cause hindrance in earning potential ... CA profession is useless ..no transperancy in paper checking process Lot of manipulation and scaling is done just to reduce the pass percentage ....
