Muy limpio y muy técnico. A cualquier arte marcial se le da la agresividad y potencia que el practicante le quiera dar. Asimismo, la riqueza de recursos depende de quien lo enseña. Todo tiene su momento y su validez. Un gran deporte de combate.

What is the difference between savate and kickboxing
@PhinTheShoto3 жыл бұрын
In terms of which form of kickboxing you’re referring to, I’ll assume American. Savate and American Kickboxing are very much the same in terms of that you can only use the feet to perform kicks as opposed to other kickboxing styles that prefers shin kicks. Savate allows low kicks and sweeps where kickboxing does not. In terms of how they are applied, Savate is a more patient martial art and is generally the one letting the opponent make the mistakes first before punishing them. As opposed to American Kickboxing which is more focussed on explosive power to finish a match. Hope that helps!
@taekgyeon3 жыл бұрын

you can use your hands in savate? how does it differ from kickboxing?
@kingofdjembe3 жыл бұрын
It differs from the kicks. Savate uses shoes and you're supposed to kick with the foot, although shin kicks are tolerated nowadays. I'm kickboxing, you're barefoot and you mostly hit with the shin. For the hands, they're exactly the same.
@alexandrelecorbeiller67883 жыл бұрын
Yes that's correct:skills and technics are similar but as you wear shoes, you're not allowed to strike with tibia, only with foot. Consequently fighting distance is a bit more far than KB. Additionally, savate is more based on movement whereas KB is more looking for power in impact. This is the reason why rounds are 2 min long vs 3 min in KB. Having that said, lot of Savate champions moved to KB for financial purpose (no professional league in savate) meaning the two disciplines are fully compliant. The best current example is probably Anissa Meksen. Regards from France
@txmetalhead82xk2 жыл бұрын
Savate was a street fighting skill and form of self defense. It seems to target the joints and vulnerable areas of the body. It also seems to use extra moves to create an opening for a critical strike. It looks exciting.
@rauwletra40432 жыл бұрын
Rules. Head kicks 3 points. Body kicks 2 points, punches regardless to the face or body and leg kicks are just 1 point. No elbows, no knees no low blows allowed.

why is not savate more popular?
@PhinTheShoto3 жыл бұрын
Mostly because people prefer MMA or Muay Thai because it’s more violent and apparently “more accurate to an actual fight”. A lot of people gravitate towards other styles because of flashiness or violence these days instead of enjoying sports as sports which is sad.
