I love Onew's vocal tone in his version of the song. It makes me feel a bit bittersweet to know that he continues to hold Jonghyun so close to his heart (who I assume he is alluding) despite the passing years, yet is not comfortable sharing that too publically. Which is totally fine, but I hope he has someone in his private life that he finds comfort in confiding in when he needs. I think we don’t need to be so hesitant to talk about Jonghyun. Sure it’s hard at times, but SHINee knows this the most. They want to talk about him comfortably and openly, and if that’s their wish, then we can do the same. We try to remember Jonghyun and cherish him in our heart and memory, and share his work of passion when we can in memory of him. That being said, Onew did so well here and has been remarkably well for the past few years. He has really come a long way with those vocal lessons he has been taking, as well as SHINee being in this journey together. I know they are probably trying to fill the void, but they have also kept their identity while doing so. I just hope that they are doing well and staying well as a normal person, as they do when performing and making music together as SHINee and as solo artists.

Onew is the reason why I became a SHINee fan. I was mesmerized by his voice the first time I listened to him, and it was merely the first 2 or 3 lines of the song. His voice is that magical.
