Yes, she is stronger than 99% of soprano sub vocalists who can't support singing, some lead vocalists (Nayeon and Jeongyeon of Twice, Seulgi of Red Velvet, Jisoo from BP) and a few main vocalists (Rose of BP). Meanwhile Moonbyul is a mezzo-soprano, the rapper of Mamamoo but she can support singing, hence she pretty strong for a sub vocalist. She is only slightly weaker than Jihyo of Twice. Hold up can we just talk about how Byul said she was always so hesitant to come on this show because she knows Mamamoo is known for being a very vocally talented group and she didn't want to ruin anything??! You can see her progression from MMM's earlier albums, especially from Melting, to Purple and now to this year's 4 Seasons albums where she really transitions from straight rap to singing. In my opinion, she is one of the very few female idols that can sing so well in a low register and then incorporate rap like it's poetry. She has come so far and as a Moomoo, I am just SO proud.
