It's so annoying when some girl groups don't sing live or are really bad when they do, and their stanners just say that 'oh the dance is too hard' or 'they're too busy'. NO! SNSD bloomin jumped and kicked around, but were still able to sing perfectly. I don't understand why the new generation stans just can't accept that their favs aren't as talented as they seem. However; I personally think that Lovelyz, Mamamoo, CLC, Red Velvet, GFriend, Oh My Girl, and Sonamoo seem to be pretty good in terms of talents for this generation.

I love how simple and natural Kpop was back when they debuted. There was no back track and you could hear them sing live. Their costumes were so simple and their makeup (if any) was so natural looking. I also love idols today, but back then you could see more of their natural flaws and relate more. (You can also see their natural darker skin color) They weren't so perfect looking :) and their look is more attainable for viewers (I hope it made sense, this is not meant to sound like shade or anything).

I agree. Times were different then, there were way fewer groups so the competition to stand out wasn’t as fierce. Nowadays there are 100+ idol groups so the competition to be the palest, the skinniest, etc is bigger. And cameras nowadays have filters on them to make idols look paler.

Well, groups back then also used to lip-sync but it was very obvious if they were lip-syncing, as it is exactly the same as the studio version, while there was was no/minimal backtrack for live performances. Nowadays, you never know if it was pre-recorded or actually live.

see how many times snsd is always the last performer , ending credits almost always in their performances during their peak which is rare during their time coz it's usually the boy groups , soloists.. As well as their special performances, they had special programs just for them to showcase their comeback or just for christmas celebrations.. waaa really miss it.. the countless fanboys too naming them as their favorite girl group and ideal types. While it's true that a hundreds of girl groups and boys groups had already debuted after them. Some of them still active until now, others disbanded and inactive. Some are currently making waves internationally and the new crowds favorite, but im still glad that 11 years after the public interest on them is still there and unwavering. It's not easy for a group let alone a girl group, would last this long and still be relevant and active on the music. Their comeback is still one of the most anticipated in the industry. Not only that the group had survived the 7 yrs cursed mark, even though they lost one member along the way they still managed to continue as an 8 membered group, but also impressively and individually, the girls had able to create a name of their own. I don't know any girl group of their generations who became not only successful as a group but also individually. I think girls generation is one of the greatest group and artists that the kpop industry had produced. The impact and legacy that they made and left was truly staggering. During their golden era, not only that they were able to defeat and dominated the girl groups but also the boy groups. Something that the new and current generations of Girl Groups wasn't able to do. SNSD was the torch bearer and one of the pioneers of the first Hallyu wave around the world. Not only a Kpop Icon but also a Cultural Icon as well. The amount of pride that i have for the group and each of them (OT9) and as a SONE even though i only started stanning them 5 months ago, was on the roof. And im so glad and proud that they are the only girl group that I've stan and the second kpop artists that I've stan, DBSK (OT5) being the first. 👏👏👏👏
