I would say main rhythm is the main tune of the song but kana ikaridzwa iri yega it sounds like a skeleton in musical terms. so the sub rhythm sort of fills in some flesh to the main tune. its quite difficult to explain but I hope I gave you an idea.

It’s the same as rythym but you cover gapes from the main rythym so that you don’t crash with the other rythym.
