This was an exact replacement for the old one that lasted about 10 years. kzbin.infoUgkx7yWIKcrbA9KMHkGSfcgxW2lsjHT6B8Sh The top of my mitigation tube by my roofline was just a 90 elbow which allowed too much debris to fall down into the fan, eventually ruining it. Without this issue, I bet it would have kept running another 10 years. When I replaced this fan, I added an extra elbow joint so the top tube now it does a 180, which should solve that problem. The radon guys around here wanted to charge me a $300 diagnostic fee, then parts/labor (probably close to $600 total). I installed this all by myself in about an hour for the cost of the fan; it would probably be even easier/faster with two people. FYI the manufacturer's warranty greatly differs depending on whether you install it yourself (1 yr warranty) or have a licensed installer do it (10 yrs).

yes, they are tankless. they are extremely hard to find in America or Canada, and the ones you do find are of not great quality and overpriced. I live in China for 6 months of every year for both business and so my husband can enjoy his family. When in America, we have a home in Denver, Colorado. This is how my in-laws' house is set up in China, and our home in China as well. we both live in newer high rises, and none of the apartments have hot water pipes. however, they do install in-wall pipes from the shower to connect with the heater under the sinks. It has been the norm for newer construction here for more than 20 years. We love them.

Could this be used when you have hot and cold supply lines but the hot water heater is located far enough away it takes time for the hot supply to heat up?

We basically recommend to install our instant water heater very closed to usage point ( p.e. max. 1-2 m) in order to get hot water quickly and to avoid heat loss and legionella risk. If you have existing hot and cold supply lines and you want to use our instant water heater, you have to install it between cold water connection and usage point (tap), p.e. under the basin. Our device needs only cold water line. In this case you have to cut off the hot water line from your central hot water tank in order to avoid standing water in hot water supply line to run back to central hot water tank due to contamination risk of legionella.

Does this boiler collects any limescale - kalk and how do you clean it?

Our devices are designed so that enough water flows through the device so that no limescale builds up inside the device. However, accumulations of limescale can build up in the fittings, which is why they should be cleaned regularly. Our devices have a filter sieve in the inlet that can be removed and cleaned. This should be done by a specialist company. If there are still problems with limescale, the limescale content in the water should be checked and, if necessary, a water softener should be used to reduce the limescale content.

The water heating depends on the flow temperature and the water flow rate. If the flow temperature is lower, the heating temperature also falls, as our MBH instantaneous water heater can only heat the water by 25°C. Another reason could be that the water flow rate is set too high. If this is above the maximum threshold of 2 l/min, the instantaneous water heater can no longer heat the water within the specifications. The water flow rate can be set by the installer on many appliances. Further information can be found in the product information on our website. I don't think it has enough power to heat up uk freezing cold water in winter, because I use it in Hong Kong where water is not very cold there in winter (much warmer than UK) it supply just water around 30°C in hk. Inlet water temperature is very important effect the performance.

Does anyone make an under sink POU that draws from the hot (not cold) water source? I have a capable whole house POU but it takes 1.5 minutes to get to the kitchen sink/dishwasher. Looking for a unit to fill that 1.5 minute gap.

Indeed 1.5 min is too long to get hot water to the kitchen sink/dishwasher. That is exactly the reason why we advice our clients to install our instant water heater closed to the point of use, you would get hot water within seconds. MBH model is a hydraulic instant water suitable for washbasin in guest toilet where hot water is rarely required. It heats the inlet cold water with full power, means you have to mix cold water in order to get good temperature outlet water p.e. 38-40 degrees.
