Amazing! Heck yeah we need a part 2 and we need Sydney solo too. Awesome musical talent, wow! I got chills. I completely agree there should be mental health curriculum in the schools, what a help that would be to countless numbers of children. If we can get the empathy and compassion ingrained into kids when they are young maybe just maybe we could put a dent into all of the bullying and drop those suicide numbers. We are losing too many good people.

A good actor is able to make you forget who he is as a person. You forget your feelings of who he/she is and just get involved in who they are in the moment. I hope I made sense. Love the genuine nature of Josh and his performance as Adam. I have seen him in other shows as well, bit parts here and there. He is talented and has a long future ahead of him. I hope he takes his time and doesn't rush the process.

I believe young people do need to be informed that Algebra is about problem solving and abstract thinking...numbers help with all sorts of things in life...so...it's fantastic to be in the arts (I am) and to make that gift to yourself and everyone else...but it's good to know things that underly creating and living in the practicality of life. As usual, you find a way to reveal a lot about "personhood" and more. Maurice, you are one of the best actors out there. Seeing you, here, being yourself and then seeing your work as Sonny...SO DIFFERENT and so clear that you are so deep as an actor...you cover all the bases...the father, the "businessman" the spouse...the friend...and Sonny is different in all those roles. KUDDOS to you for so many years of excellence. (and yes, I know it wasn't easy.)

At my grandsons high school its in an area of wealth and there have been 4 suicides in the last 2 years. Thank you Joshua for giving such an excellent job with this character hope you stay acting.

My Uncle has mental illness, they both do, one is dead, and one is really sick. One drank and was found dead on his couch, the other did drugs and it annihilated his life. This is why I stayed a way from drugs and alcohol, the beginning of the end for the mentally ill

Maurice, you and your son are great. His question of him now but back when you were 30, all I could think of was he would have played Stone, he sorta does look like Stone too. I'm so glad I have finally found your podcast, found it on a day that I was thinking of doing something. But I am undiagnosed bipolar(multi-polar in my opinion), and have been working thru without help, just God, but was tempted to get a drink and you mentioned the alcohol component and thank you, I knew that but forgotten it for a moment. He is slowly becoming a young man with a heart that is soft enough to absorb everything around him and keep what makes him great. He will be one to watch out for and not necessarily in the clout and fame sense. But in the great human being department. Pat yourselves on the shoulder for that. It takes loving and sacrifices as parents to instill that type of gentleness in a young man. I pray all his and Sydney’s dreams all come true and they find nothing but bliss with their love along the way. Too precious! And that song was dope ❤better every year! I so agree that the schools should have mental health classes and teach kids how to deal with life in general. Yes, the children of famous actors might have the luxury of better opportunities and connections. However, it also makes logical sense that they have inherited raw talent from their parents and have the benefit of lifelong parental modelling from the best in the business. Genetics, early parental modelling, financial and social opportunities. Their parents might help them get their foot in the door, but whether they stay in the room is totally up to them. From what I’ve seen of Adam Bernard, he is here to stay!

I’m watching this “ after the fact”. Maurice, this interview brought me to tears. Not because I pittyed ANYONE … but the rawness, the REALITY and the honesty. My heart breaks for all he went through and how it ended. You’re right, he was a warrior because mental illness is a fight for life everyday.
