Also Gage drew snatch and other strong cards as well, cimo just had the removal for them in his deck and was able to deal with them.

His first hand wasnt insane? And the deck just has a lot of good cards so not unlikely to draw a good hand. When it comes to topdecking it is not like he drew specific outs, he just drew one of many he had in his deck also not at all unlikely. Gage had some good topdecks as well but since we see Cimos perspective that isn't quite as visible.

Cimo whiffes the entire game 1. Average draws game 2. Needs 3 turns to draw something usable game 3. "OMG, Cimo is so lucky" ? I get that he is a lucky person generally, but there was nothing unusual this week.

This felt very "control vs midrange". If Cimo could draw enough interruptions and guys to weather Gage's resources he won. Which I think was only possible because Cimo was playing like 20 monsters. 15 explicit ones (3 which tutored), 4 searcher spells, and Snatch Steal and the rest of his deck after siding was backrow removal. (If I'm right here its by accident, I'm just going by my gut and am terrible at YGO.)

The problem was Gages deck did basically one thing consistently, it outed backrow. Which would crush a stall deck or a control deck that relied heavily on traps. But that wasn’t what Cimo was playing

Anyone know why Gage didn't run a couple of Elegant Egotist? Seems like a no brainer to include in the deck. It was also a common in Dark Revelations and a rare in Metal Raiders, surely he has some.

I couldn’t say for sure but I think egotist is a bit bricky and high roll. If you don’t manage to stick a harpie on the field the card is dead. Like the other guy said sometimes activates it also mean popping your own hunting ground

ngl while before the matches were boring and MBT's commentary was what made Prog worth watching, now it's the complete opposite for me. The clear bias towards Gage, bitching about every single thing Cimo does like a toddler really ruins the reactions. Like last match, where Joseph complains about floodgates after cumming to fucking Mausoleum Control of all decks. It's annoying to watch, Gage topdecks what he needs and it's justice and what not, Cimo does and suddenly it's the end of the world. Fun fact: MBT bitches about Cimo's hand? Reminder that Gage started this season with Raigeki, Reborn, Witch, Delincuent Duo, and pulled TWO starlights. Dark Hole, Snatch plus backrow removal is something both have access to, be it Duster or Heavy. This little bitchy things are what really get on my nerves. I know it may be in jest, but today it certainly doesn't seem so. I hope Joseph can go back to his prior cool analysis, more so with how tense and fun these last matches have been, but if he keeps sucking on Gage's dick there's no point on watching his reactions anymore.

MBT was shitting on Gage all through the “32 weeks of chaos” and even continued doing so while looking at the memes everyone made clowning on Gage and the tunnel. I get it can be a bit grating to see him complain about Cimo, but I mean if you go back only a few weeks to before Gage played glads, MBT is decidedly team Cimo, and would make the same jokes about cumming to Cimo based deck choices like the chain burn and other wild choices Cimo made while on his win streak. Just after losing so many times in a row he’s cheering on the underdog. I’m sure if Cimo makes an interesting deck choice he’d be more neutral, if he rolled up today with nitro warrior turbo you know MBT would’ve lost his shit.

mbt has really only been shitting on cimo the past 2 weeks and tbf the games the past 2 weeks have been kinda frustrating. last week gage played a cool deck and got blind hard countered by a pretty boring strategy, and this week gage played another unique deck and lost to a shitty version of his last deck basically entirely because cimo drew better. its not really anything against cimo, its just kinda lame that gage is bringing good and creative decks (even if hes not making them) and playing well, and still losing

These last matches since Cimo came back from the honeymoon have been great, and I find it odd that MBT complains about Final Countdown Burn when he praises Mausoleum Control. Both decks are control, and they aim to shut down everything the opponent does to win through their gimmick. But Gage does it and it's based, Cimo does it and it's horrible. That's why, it's frustrating to watch MBT now.

Yeah, I noticed this. It actually makes me smile when Cimo pulls "Heart of the Cards" anime moves and have every outplay to wipe away the smirks of MBT and Gage. #TeamCimo. I understand that MBT wants Gage to win and also to keep the Progression Series more interesting, but the more bias I see from MBT, the more I enjoy when Cimo beats Gage. Him pulling the solution every turn is honestly really funny and entertaining.

You're exaggerating. Look at his reaction to older episodes - he praised Cimo's deck choices, building skills and often plays he made. It's just that at this point it's a no brainer that Cimo, unless purposely throwing, will build a good deck and play it without issues.
