Are you “emotionless”?! I’m an intp and I cry over the smallest things sometimes and I’m the therapist friend 😂 with people I don’t know I can be kinda “cold” but generally I’m not, how about you??
@aaronrashid20753 жыл бұрын
@@thecheddarshredder You can definitely be an emotional INTP. Saying you can’t be is merely stereotyping. I am an INTP, and I used to cry a lot when I was younger, but that didn’t mean I wasn’t an INTP. INTP’s can be emotional if their own internal logic (Ti) is based on emotional rewards and reactions. INTP’s have dominant Ti for reference.
@thecheddarshredder3 жыл бұрын
@@aaronrashid2075 yeah, I know. It’s just funny to see things saying that intps struggle with emotion when for the most part I don’t. All the T vs F means is how you make decisions but because we are Ti dominant and Fe inferior we just process emotions differently sometimes and try to think them out more and see the cause and find a solution to the issue. A big sore spot for me is not being able to find a good solution to those problems because I feel like I’m not in control. But also babies, particularly when they are hurt or something like that because I have a younger brother and growing up I was like his second mom (we are 10 years apart) so see stuff where babies are suffering literally hurts my heart! I mostly just struggle with communicating how I feel. And it’s hard for me to put my emotions and thoughts into words because there is usually have so much going on and I have trouble “sorting through” everything! Oh! And apparently intps are the most likely to have alcohol or drug related issues in college and on top of that addiction runs on both sides of my family so I’m kinda screwed ngl 😂
@WeisSchwarz3 жыл бұрын
@@thecheddarshredder I have sympathy (Fi child) but lack of empathy (which makes me cold outside), due to Fe trickster. I'll be frank, it's like my cry is self-centred, whether I cry for others or for myself, just to please my Fi child. Te helps me rationalise my act though, like why would I cry? Is it beneficial for me? Well it's not. Then what's beneficial? Wash your dishes, mop the floor, do your project, go go go, time is ticking. Lol.
@thecheddarshredder3 жыл бұрын
@@WeisSchwarz hmm...I try not to cry over myself and my problem because then I feel selfish so I try to only cry about others. And when my friend ranted to me one time I started crying with her 🤷♀️ Ti is just kinda there...it helps me try to come up with a solution to the problem, but otherwise I feel like it’s the equivalent of a houseplant, ya know? I pay attention to it here and there but otherwise it just sits there. Every like 2 months and let out a good, long, loud, ugly cry and I’m good for a while. I think crying is at least a little beneficial...to an extent. Idk tho...I don’t really know the difference between Ti and Te and Fi and Te. I know for sure I’m an intp tho...for a while i thought it was ENTP but that was before I learned what being an introvert actually is 😂 (I forgot where I was going with this...) OH! Back to the crying thing! I don’t cry often but when I do it’s like a flood of tears. I’m honestly a sensitive person so after holding it all In it feels nice to let it all out. I recommend going out to your car and putting in some earbud with music full blast and start screaming/singing. Then slowly play sad songs until you start scream crying and then start talking to yourself about why your crying. From there your gonna wanna laugh at yourself for screaming and crying like a maniac, then force yourself to get it together and then head back inside and continue like nothing happened...

I disagree with the map one. My dad and I are both INTPs. He has been fascinated with cartography ever since he was a child, and consequently so have I. An unmapped, uncharted place is an unpredictable one. That is why maps are awesome. You can familiarize yourself a little and be more aware of what to expect before you even get there. If we get lost in the supermarket it is because jerks keep moving everything around every couple of months and not giving us the "patch notes"... thank goodness for hanging aisle signs or I'd might still be wandering around trying to find the pizza rolls...

How did the conversation go from maps to the history of Soviet Russia? I have direct evidence of 2 comments being missing, and I suspect a minimum of 3-5 more. Anyways, back to maps, they're freaking fantastic. Best Buy uploads maps to Google of their entire store layout, with the store sectioned out into product types, and each aisle and island is labeled as to what it specifically contains. Not only that, but each store is laid out as similarly to ever other store as possible, so if you've been in one of them, you've been in all of them. I love it, SO much. I never have to talk to a store employee to find anything, and I can just scare off the sales people with body language and expression. It's perfect.

5:20 was an accurate conclusion to reach based on the patterns the person had seen. I'm not sure what part of it was unconnected and random. All events described do form a string of points the eventually lead to wasps. I mean wasps generally don't die when they sting and yet are connected to bees in terms of their evolutionary ancestory which is about 120 million years ago the divergence is expected to have happened and yet the oldest fossil available is dated around 80 million years ago during the period where ammonites were as big as humans, like T-rex during it's first 80 million years before the Cretaceous period during which tuataras also roamed and are now endemic, in other words they have survived through the harrowing conditions the Earth has been through, imagine the climate change impacts they survived to have come this far no wonder we are killing so many species now with climate change, man we need to control the impact we're making on the planet somehow someway. I mean 0.14°F of increase in land and ocean temperatures on a period of 30 years is a huge deal at planetary scale. Fuck I need to go read more about what systematic changes could help us solve this crisis cause FTX sure isn't helping fucking SBF.

Trigger warning for "taking one's life". True story. Two week into my first year of high school, a classmate commited suicide. Everyone cried, except for me. As I am search for a distraction on my phone, one of my classmates approaches me and asks me if I'm ok. I froze for a moment because I didn't know how to answer. I genuinely didn't know how to answer. I knew I should feel bad, so why wasn't I? Some time later, I realized, it's not that I didn't feel bad, but that I wasn't sad, just bummed. It is sad that the guy gave up on life, but why should I cry for someone who's name I hadn't even memorized at the time. I honestly felt worse for the guy's family than for him.

An insider perspective on an intp “robotic personality” We’re very good at rationalizing our thinking but not forming it into words, which makes it difficult to start in the first place. when you express your true feelings (typically through your current struggles), we can effectively weigh which of us needs more support, and since our lives are so closed off and nothing typically changes in our lives (small close knit group of people) besides you, you take priority over us because adding the pressures of our insecurities on you when we can’t help it ourselves, let alone you, wouldn’t help you get better. we just rather not say something that we probably won’t say accurately which results in you feeling like we don’t have any emotions because we value yours over ours tenfold. Also we intps tend to have some level of alexithymia but eh…
