My cousins and I use to ride the orange line when we were little kids back in the 1960s. Back then there was not really any concern with passengers and MBTA employees seeing 6 to 8 year olds getting aboard the train. Dudley Station back then was fun because of the sharp curve design of the track. I use to take the trains alone by myself to Charlestown to visit relatives.

Thanks for this video! It's interesting how the train goes above and below ground in different places.

Great video! I rode it on one of the first days it opened. How about the Tremont Street Lenox Street video. Would love to see that one! Thank you!

@@blackdouglas87030 Must be his upper lip! I never have that problem on the orange line. A little old, rusty, and bumpy, but reasonable. 👌🏾

I wish the guys running the orange line would get some trains with an automated announcement. When I was a teenager in Boston during high school, the red line only had an AA system. Later, I noticed that the blue and green lines had them installed.

I used the GPS app on my phone to record a top speed of 63MPH on the orange line going from the Malden to Wellington stop. They will go faster with the new cars coming at the end of 2018

I've watched all your MBTA subway videos. Man you have guts going to Forest Hills. Even more guts actually getting off at Mattapan on the High Speed Trolley! The Ashmont train is scary enough but I never go further than the first stop on the Trolley. Hahaha.

DO the older trains not have a working AA system?, at least when i was in Boston on a older red line train it did.
@MJofLakelandX9 жыл бұрын
SgtMays Not on the Orange Line cars but on the older Red Line cars - similar to OL's cars - the AA system was installed when the new cars back around 2000 began service. As far as I know.
@LinxFox9 жыл бұрын
***** Ah, why no front view videos? or are your trains like our new Toronto Rocket trains and have a full front cab with one way glass. Unlike the old H4-T1 trains (H4-H6 retired) that had a half cab and a window with seats to look out the front
@MJofLakelandX9 жыл бұрын
SgtMays These rail cars has a dark sheet covering where the rail fan window would be to leave the operator's cabin isolated - obvious security purposes. But I honestly prefer recording from a side-view position because you have a better panoramic view of the rail line and station's surroundings and it relates a lot more to an everyday rider.
@Bobrogers996 жыл бұрын
@@MJofLakelandX I disagree. A front (cab) view gives a true panoramic view. A side view is very limited. However, I realize that it's no longer possible on most lines everywhere now, so we make do with what we've got.

I'd hold my tongue🤣 In fact, the 2021 video of Orange Line to Oak Grove; the part once the train departs Assembly station, there were two shoplifters onboard literally pulling the alarm devices of the items. It's not on this video
