Cimo literally had like 2 full decks from a single pull and rerolled into literally no usable cards just to play trap burn? Is this real? Considering how many times they get fucked by those weird single DM staple spell/traps, do they not realize just how powerful a single Shi En on the board is? If not Kageki, you got Elder in another set as a common, Kageki into Kagemusha, freaking Shinai or Mizuho set battle trap pass, I don't freaking know, like so many things you can do. You let them steal/tribute Shinai, you also get to use his recursion effect. They're fucking playing Monarchs every episode. It's a good counter no? Like what even is the point of this series lol

I remember how we all made (and still make sometimes) fun about Gage for exclusively looking at the holos during his pulls, ignoring anything else, especially in season 1. But now Alex has caught up with his own method: Only considering cards that made it in full fledged, strong constructed archetypes.

The saddest part is that Kageki and Smoke Signals wasn't Cimo's issue. It was the Damn Kizan that while good was far from needed to make Samurai playable. Cimo hard tunnels on the idea that one card missing makes a deck unplayable and it's so infuriating.

@@WoodsRunner The series is called "Progression Series." Alex has played Chain Burn a couple of times already. I don't have a problem with them playing updated versions of decks they've played before, but outside of the Extra Deck that he couldn't access and the one of Battle Fader, there was nothing in that deck that wasn't playable in DM. I just want to see some progress in a Progression Series. He doesn't need to be afraid to try some jank.

@@WoodsRunner I can watch Frog vs Chain Burn Edison format videos and it wouldn't be all that different from this match. Chain Burn had a lot of competitive success around this time. The premise of this series is their decks are supposed to evolve, change, and progress with every set. This doesn't apply to Gage as much because he's done a better job of utilizing the given set each week, but what did Alex use from this week's set in his deck? What did he use from the Duelist Pack last week? Adding 3 Veilers to the same recruiter deck he played for weeks? If they aren't going to attempt to use what they pull, what's the point in opening the sets at all?

I'm glad I'm not the only one who is getting tired of watching the same decks every week. Actually I'm not even watching the duels anymore, I watch the openings see the're playing the same shit and wait till next week. Seriously, like try something else. Between this season and last it's been like 100 episodes of the same decks. CREATE EXPLORE PLEASE! Who cares if the decks aren't fully put together or optimal, get creative, substitute cards, like come on it's past old!

I see why MBT is heavily disappointed. WHO REROLLS ON SHI EN?! NO. Just no. I remember when MBT was in the Chaos Draft and he would always make a new deck once he got the combo pieces for it and it was always interesting... AND WHY THE F**K IS CIMO PLAYING CHAIN BURN OVER SHOOTING STAR FUCKING DRAGON?! I'll be honest, I wouldn't be watching this if not for MBT's commentary. It summaries my disappointment. Imagine these decks facing off against Six Samurai or Nordic; Six Samurai AND Nordic would SWEEP. At least the DRAW was the only good thing. I liked it. I CAN'T wait for Extreme Victory when they don't bother playing or acknowledge T.G. or the other possible decks from that pack.

It was hype when Cimooo played chain burn the first time. By now it has lost its novelty. F"ck burn, most Yugioh players hold a vehement hate for it as it deserves it. All the while Gage is still telling poor people to f"ck themselves while not shifting his build aside from thankfully dropping a bit of the chaos stuff (which there is an 80% chance of him playing next episode). Progression Playoffs was the better series but it is over now. Prog Series has not gotten any better in that time they had to learn and grow. Of course an episode like this is going to get half the hate it deserves.
