Great video! I’m mrcool17611 from Reddit I enjoy videos on oddities that aren’t discussed too often, I thought I’d mention you referred to Ultraman Ace, Ultraman Taro, and Ultraman Leo as Ultra Ace, Ultra Taro, and Ultra Leo. I know it’s very confusing because Ultraseven is not called Ultraman Seven so it kind of makes no sense anyways lol. Also it kind of sounded like you said Ultra Q came after Ultraman but Ultra Q was the first show and after the introduction of a hero to the same basic formula of Ultra Q that’s when all the Ultra heroes came out afterwards and Ultra Q would only ever receive any kind of sequels without Ultraman type characters decades later. These are relatively minor things but I thought I’d bring them up in the interest of those who were curious.

Great video & info. I guess I never thought about the history of power rangers & how they were inspired but movies & shows like Godzilla & Ultra man. My only experience with Ultra Man was the crappy SNES game that I could never figure out haha. But I really liked watching this and getting a history lesson in Japanese pop culture. Thanks!

Yes at first they just had the 1 guy like Ultra Man, but then there is only 1 toy to buy. So for sales, they made the whole team! Buy every color ha ha ha. Then a robot too instead of the hero themselves growing.
