GAWD! Stop making me want the 707! STOP IT! 😂 Not just the features. There’s something about the form factor and the footprint of the 707 that really speaks to me. As a content creator it’s perfectly shaped, but I love the feel of Roland buttons and pads. - It doesn’t have a battery does it? I really wish it did because it’s built for travel with the wide bass that can sit over your knees. - The additional layers from the oscillators is very cool! - So from what I can see, clips seem to be like scenes in the Maschine, if you want to use them that way. Is. That correct? Oh.. I figured I’d just ask every question I had throughout the entire video in one long comment just to annoy you as punishment for making me want it so badly! Lol

Hey Thanks Beau for stopping by! I honestly believe you will make magic with the MC 707, so I really hope this video encourages you to just get one! To answer your question, yes the clips are like the scenes on the Maschine +. This is really dope because it opens up the 707- 16 clips per track times 8 tracks gives you 128 total clips per project if needed! It doesn't have a battery, but I have a quick and simple solution for that as well. Let me know when you get one so we can do a collab!

Hahahahahahahahaha. I mean, it's not like 'the best' if you ask me, but it's the one the fits me the best. I did a video a while ago with what I like / dislike, which goes quite deep into why. kzbin.info/www/bejne/mqPWgJlrbLx0mJo

Wow, just wow, Roland really did it with that piece of gear, I like the layout and the the features are really cool too. So much at your finger tips I can see it's real small and compact, another great video bro. Those features tho are really cool. I'm sold.

Thanks bro, that’s a sweet looking machine. I also dig that reverse feature as well. There’s no telling with some of the capability of these samplers. You never know what you’ll find until you start playing with it. 💯 thanks for sharing

Hey 👋🏾 Studio, I have to be honest, as much as you know how much I like the MV-1 ….. I’m really digging the MC 707 it’s the MV-1 plus a little more. It will most likely become my go too! Roland is really coming to the table. They are competing with Akai and Native Instruments 🎸 the Octatrack as well they are all contenders. I agree it totally is a dope workstation! Thx 🙏🏾 for supporting bro means a lot! 💨

Really digging the interface endowed with knobs and sliders, that provide immediate interaction to manipulate sound parameters on the fly. Also digging the separate volume controls that will allow the user to feed audio to a sound booth, while still having control over the main monitors of the mix session. And I can’t overlook the clear screen that provides critical visual feedback related to parameter changes, sample editing, and the real time status of the current project. Another great review of a full featured sampling workstation that brings a lot to the table, including features you highlighted for a solid all-in-one music production workstation.

Yes the master Volume and headphone volume do have separate controls so that is a plus! In My opinion, I feel that the MC 707 is just as functional as the mpc, Maschine plus, the Octatrack! I really like the form factor and work flow. Appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment, really means a lot! 👊🏾💨

Absolutely agree on the screen. It's a good balance between showing the info you need and 'not getting in the way'. Absolutely great feature. I even mentioned this in my long term review from some time ago. kzbin.info/www/bejne/mqPWgJlrbLx0mJo

@@IMakeBeats Different beast, both are great for sure. 707 feels more 'jam' oriented where the MPC is more aimed at production if you ask me.

@@IMakeBeats I returned the MPC because it had too much overlap with the MC-707 for me and I could only keep one. I preferred the hands on approach of the 707 a bit more and I felt the sound was a tad better. But both are great machines for sure and if I could only have the MPC, I would be super happy too!

Yes i totally understand, the mpc is where i started so I’m pretty quick with it. But the sound from the 707 is so incredible.

I've owned one for a while now. There are pros & cons. If working just in the box itself (no external audio) it's really good. You can create lots of clips and pick which ones play when via setting up Scenes. The hidden gem no one really talks about is that the MC707/MC101 is literally the cheapest way to get Rolands ZenCore sounds! The ZenCore engine is used in more expensive Roland gear so to have access to all these sounds on 707 is a great deal! The biggest con or negative for me is the limited external audio. On my MPC Live 2 I can record a 5 minute vocal take, 5 minute live recorded guitar, and 5 minute live recorded bass guitar. Then use internal MPC sounds for strings, pads, drums, etc. You can't do that on the MCs! The lack of being able to record a basic song such as 4 tracks of external audio, 5min long each + 4 tracks of internal ZenCore is a big let down. The 707 should be able to do what a $450 Zoom R20 does...basic multitrack recording. For this reason alone, my MPC Live 2 takes a dump all over MC-707 because it CAN do that. Because of the external audio limitations I tend to just use 707 as a sound module. I record parts from 707 in to my MPC Live 2 or a DAW. The stock presets of 707 are a bit better than stock MPC but MPC has more available add on plugins and expansions which make it much better. Overall I like 707 but it's not one of my top 3 pieces of gear. I can see myself selling it one day with the money going towards something better.

@MusicSky85, i agree they all have there strengths and weaknesses. The workflow I understand the most is the mpc. The MPC X was the first gear ⚙️ for me. Once it malfunctioned, i decided not to only rely on Akai. Now i use the mpc one for sample chopping and vocal recording and the mc 707 for the zen core sounds. They are really good. Appreciate you checking out the channel. More product reviews coming soon! 👊🏾
