@Blu2Haze Exactly, JoCo is an excellent example. Not only does he have an amazing voice and is excellent at playing guitar but he writes some of the best lyrics i've heard in awhile. The thing that keeps talent like MC Chris, and JoCo out of the spotlight is most likely the lyrics. Very few of their songs fit into the mainstream culture and thus keep them out of the spotlight. Honestly though, i'd prefer a cult following over mainstream. Then i know loyal fans will always come to shows.
