The word legend gets tossed around too frequently but this brother deserves the title. Been following Mello since the early days as a champion of the UK scene. If we look at not only his own solo work but the so many guest appearances with artists such as Caron Wheeler, Manu Dibango, Urban Species and Young Disciples. I still play his tunes and Thoughts Released is one of my fav hip hop albums of all time. But if you want to get the true poetic essence of the genius of this guy check out the track 'Evil walks the streets and wears the guise of man' that Mello did with Tony Colman. A big thank you to Blade for finally getting him on the couch. Never got a chance to meet him but I know my old crew Kaliphz performed with him. A true don of the hip hop scene.

2nd Comment from me .....this is an amazing interview . Timings are everything in this game . I used to think imagine Mello on a track with Rodney P and men like Icepick ......so overlooked these guys and you had that new wave like Mark B , The Creators , The nextmen etc coming up just after that would have been massive for these MC;s to have producing . The second Mello album has to come surely some new wave UK producers could remix a few of these bangers ..... I still remember my first listen of "Mello gone carzy" with my 1210's with a penny on top the needle and me just blown away with the track like the first time i heard TROY by Pete and CL .....Cardiff in the house BTW

There are hundreds of names we didn't mention but thats why it's important for people to come on the channel and tell their stories. Would love to get Bohze in to tell his. Truth is, it's impossible to mention everyone, but it's also important to keep channels like this going so the stories can get told. Also, each person that comes in is generally going to talk about things that directly impacted on them, so as much as we heard of or know people, they might not necessarily be part of their personal journey and we often tend to discuss things that impacted us directly, human nature :). And would be great to get more insight on 141 Posse too
