I believe that story on Hammer, Hammer was harder than everybody gave him credit for and there's other rappers who dealt with Hammer, and the outcome was similar except w/o the contract hit for 50k as serch claimed they were told, hammer being an Oaktown OG was known for some of his beefs in the streets in his earlier years before he became the multi platinum selling artist, but that bullshit story he told about Bushwick bill was very much something he pieced together.

you know, I flip-flopped back and forth on how I felt about 3rd Bass and the Cactus Album after listening to it a few years back, but I've warmed up to it more recently. This interview makes me respect Serch a lot more - I think my perception was kinda tainted from that cringey video he did bout Cultural Appropriation on Buzzfeed or whatever. But this interview is dope, man. Serch is super humble and really reasonable about his place in the world of hip-hop. I respect that he's an older rapper who doesn't have much of that old head mentality - shit, I'm prolly more bitter about current rap than he is, and I ain't even a part of the music world lol. He tells stories really nicely too, dude is easy to listen to. Been bumping the Cactus Album lately while workin on this video essay I'm tryna make and it's great background noise, gets me in that productive mindset.
