It's called makina, originated from spain and italy (The music). - However now Monta Music is making locally produced music in the same style. The MC's/lyrics are purely from the North East of England (generally) been around since the early 90's i believe, i've listened to it since I was a kid, quite popular when I was in school and obviously still is, MC Stompin's a legend.
