In 9:05 they opted for msc and then moved to abroad for ms because in us Universities the minimum eligibility is a degree course >= 4 years. Hence btech/msc etc are eligible only .

I see a lot of students confused right now, especially with the current job market in the country. If you have a bachelors in CS do not worry there are a lot of options. Internationally a CS Honours has a lot of weight. Go for MSc if you wanna do research related work, companies and western universities pay very well for it. If you wanna get a job and just know the technicalities, go for MCA, but from a good institute even if it takes multiple tries to get there. But to be honest you can learn a lot from the Internet which your MCA course wouldn't even cover so just go based on placements. Best of luck to anyone reading this.

I don't think what you told in this video is correct. I am MSc computer science graduate and I am working as a software engineer in a standard company. Of course MCA is more professional when compared to MSc computer science, but all what matters in the interview is your coding skills, and if you are talking about qualifications then engineering CS and for other coarses MCA and MSc CS . MSc computer science graduate is third priority following engineering CS and MCA. Any body can gain degree in any field just by getting passing marks but ultimately what matters is your software skills. If you are not good in coding then your Degree is just a piece of garbage and is of no use to get into software engineering field.

@Pramod Shitole Do MCA or MSc Computer Science or MSc IT. You don't need to score very good marks 60% and above is much enough. For that you don't need to do hard work just take previous year sem question papers of 2 to 3 years and solve it at the beginning itself. You don't need to listen to your degree classes inorder to solve your question papers instead you can see videos in you tube since you will get everything about computer science subjects in you tube and in coarse class instead of listening the class you can sleep 😴. I used to do that and easily scored distinction, but ultimately marks is just a piece of garbage when it comes to your software engineering job, but your degree certificate is must since they are like an entry ticket to get into software engineering field. But to enhance your chances of getting selected do internships. There are many mini internships which are paid and available and are work from home. You just need to spend minimum of 1 hour or max of 3 hour for every week in that. Along with your degree do this simultaneously, don't give importance to your degree, just keep in mind you need to score passing marks but give importance to your internship. There are many advanced technologies in computer science like react JS, angular, flutter etc but i suggest you to do intership in PHP. Php is easy to learn and you will get to know everything about web development in php. If you are good at php it is like you can sustain any kind of Technologies in the future. And most of the companies will easily hire php experienced employees rather than others technologies. Do intership from 1st sem itself. 1st sem do in one technology, second sem another tech , third sem another, 4 rth sem however major project. So when you go for your first interview after your degree your interviewers will love your resume. And they will reject every one and hire you first looking at the interships you made. their mind will be just blown. You are easily hired there. But keep one thing in mind if you are bsc/bca then MSc-CS/MCA is must, because they post-degree certificate will serve you as an entry ticket to allow you to give interview.

@Pramod Shitole coding class math kar instead mini intership Karo. Kyo ki coding class is like you will study coding but don't know why and where to use it. But intership is like slowly slowly you will learn from basics and you will get to know how to use it in real world applications. And infact you will get certificate after the end of your intership from the company which will be very useful even though if it's small intership. And intership is like an experience letter. So interviewers will come to know that this guy knows how to use it in real world applications.

From my experience... I AM A MCA GRADUATE 2020. I found that lots of software companies needs mca people. We work side by side with B.tech,M.tech, MSc, PhD. Our core places to work are s/w development, n/w engineering, cloud, security, automation, health care, & if interested IT sales is there for those who do not like coding. It's professional course because it's ment for direct job undertaking. I have worked with automation, health care & security. THE MAIN PROBLEM OF MCA, B.TECH IS GETTING JOB IS QUITE DIFFICULT. SO NEVER GIVE UP!!! KEEP TRYING UNTIL YOU GET ONE.

Getting a job is difficult?? I don't think so because computer scientists/cs engineers are needed the most in this day and age. CS grads gets more job opportunities than other branches of engineering like eee and ece and mech. Correct me if im wrong

@Amey it all depends on coding skills. Not the degree. For a degree holder (BE-CS/Btech-CS/MCA/MSc-CS) for any of the people who pursued this degree and do not have coding skills then getting job is absolutely difficult. Because without coding skills your CS degree is garbage. There is no use for any company to hire a CS degree holder without any software skills just by looking at degree certificate. Company managers will know a candidate did not do engineering because of the persons interest instead their parents forced and a student can pass degree by doing by heart. Companies wants skilled person. So any degree is fine and degree is like an entry ticket so that you can be allowed to give the interview.

MCA is only an indian coarse. Not valid in foreign. But if you have enough experience in India like 4-5 and then if you apply in abroad then you will definitely get. After your experience in work life your degree certificate is just a paper. Companies will start look at your work experience.
