Hi! first off thank you so much for these vids! quick question, why would you multiply amplitude x power to get the intensity? (referring to 20:22 when you increase the amplitude and power)
@VanDoesChemistry3 жыл бұрын
hi! both of these things are related to power through separate equations (the ones written at 20:22) and they multiply because if you think about it like "okay the amplitude changes intensity by 4x once, and the power also doubles the intensity, then overall it'll change by 8x because you double and quadruple it."

hi I just wanted to ask when you will be able to finish the content videos for the other books! Will it be by May or June ish? Ofc if it takes longer that is totally fine. Hi Van! at 23:50 s in this video, how we find that by doubling the intensity db will increase by +6? do you have the equation for it? thanks a lot
@VanDoesChemistry3 жыл бұрын
hi! there is no specific equation for it, but you can demonstrate this property by plugging any 2 numbers for intensity into the regular equation and solving for the db value!

@mitokijardine78193 жыл бұрын
Quick question! When you were talking about the doubling of the intensity you said that it just equals +6dB. Is this always this case or you can just double the dB in the problem and add it to to the original dB? So in your video 90dB would be your answer. Thanks for the videos! They provide such a good layout for studying!
@VanDoesChemistry3 жыл бұрын
I'm so sorry, the correct change in dB when intensity is doubled is +3dB. You take the original dB and add 3 to it, do not double the decibels.
@mitokijardine78193 жыл бұрын
@@VanDoesChemistry ohhh I get it! So you always just add 3dB whenever the intensity is doubled which is 30 after multiiplying by the 10. Thank you so much and thank you for the response! I plan on taking the exam on the 26th, so I am strengthening my weak spots (physics and cars) currently.

why would u multiply 2^2 by 2 (for power). since I is already proportional to A^2, so I understand 2^2 if you double Amplitude. but I = P/A is another equation its Power/Area. i don't understand why you would multiply 2^2 by 2 again. I know it says u doubled power too but I'm lost. Thank you

hey vanessa, so im almost done with content review just got like 3 physics chapters left. So, after i finish with content should i do the milesdown deck like all of it and then start doing uWorld. i believe u said in ur mcat video that milesdown anki was a tremendous tool ? Or what do you think of my plan?
@alihaggaz46344 жыл бұрын
@@VanDoesChemistry so did you do both anki. Miles down and uworld simultaneously? I’m thinking bout doin like a 100 uworld questions a day and then the rest of the day grind milesdowns deck ? U think if I finish like the entire deck and all of uworld bank I can see a good increase in score ?
@alihaggaz46344 жыл бұрын
@@VanDoesChemistry Oh wow thats amazing Van! So, im testing end of march 26th to be exact. Do you think I have time lets say do all of UWorld/anki deck miles and all of the AAmc section banks/q packs and then finally do like 10-11 practice exams 6 NS and 5 from the official aamc? Does this sound feasible and like a good plan to get me like 510+? oh and van I'm thinking as I do uworld and like whatever i get wrong i make an anki card for it and label that deck "missed uworld questions" ? Sorry for long txt btw
@alihaggaz46344 жыл бұрын
@@VanDoesChemistry okay sounds good van I will stick to this plan then! One last question, so do you recommend i do the practice test last (6 NS and 5 AAMc) after i am done with all of Uworld and aamc packs or how did you fit them into ur plan!
@alihaggaz46344 жыл бұрын
@@VanDoesChemistry Yes definetly i agree 100%. So you think if i can finish lets say all uworld and aamc material by end of January or mid February. Do you think the time after that I should just go all out practice test till march test date lets say like 2 a week where I test one day and review 2 days. Then test again and review again? Or do you recommend to do the practice test during the time I'm doing aamc q pack/banks and world? Basically what I'm tryna say is does it matter when you do practice test as long as you get them done and understand ur mistakes right?
@alihaggaz46344 жыл бұрын
@@VanDoesChemistry thank you so much van! this sounds better to save it for last then. So for rn I just gotta go crazy on world and do NS exams once i feel I'm doing pretty good percent wise on the uworld topics. you think its possible to finish uworld in 2 weeks ?
