I went through an immigration journey a while ago. I have nothing to worry about in this regard, but I got hooked on your streams due to the topic that interests me and your personality. The U.S.A. is built on immigrants, and I love it. At my work, all of my colleagues come from different countries, different cultural backgrounds, different religions, and types of upbringing, but we all fit together like a puzzle! Seriously, I’ve never had a better team than here, in NYC. It’s truly a melting pot, and I would not want to lose it. Again, I accidentally stumbled on your streams, and I find them very interesting and informative. I hope folks who need your help will be reaching out to you. Good luck to all those still going through immigration.

So what happens if law enforcement violate your civil rights, excessive force for example, and you're deported. Can you sue them without being present in the country?? I mean, you couldn't be present during court dates, or is attorney representation enough??
@DellaJohn-v9l31 минут бұрын
If your illegal there is not much you can do. You knew the risk when you illegally came into a country!! Did you all really think Biden and his ways would stay forever lol😂. American people have spoken
@JohnDoe-qz1ql23 минут бұрын
@@DellaJohn-v9l"Did you all"??? Prejudiced And ignorant... I'm not an immigrant. Everyone in US soil has the same constitutional rights so they can Absolutely sue for violation of civil rights. My question was to someone actually educated, and how that goes about. The person may possibly be permitted court absence with representation.

Seeing that the Supreme Court is basically all in Trump's pocket, I think the birthright citizenship would be decided in favor of Trump's Executive Order. Though it might take some time, but it doesn't look too promising that the court will overturn it...

There is already a precedent. Supreme court ruled over this before.

@@JohnDoe-qz1ql He is counting on Thomas, Kavaugh, Alito, and Gorush and may be Roberts or Amy Barrett. The problem is the constitution is iron-clad on the 14th Amendment. How are they going to wiggle their way around; it will be seen as a political move. They will have to argue the other precedents were in error.

Here is the honest truth about birthright... The current interpretation was done by scotus back in 1898. That was over 100 years ago. That means the current scotus can over turn that 1898 decision. ATM the current scotus is very very conservative leaning and will side with Trump! Keep in mind this scotus has recently already overturned long standing decisions. Also lets remember the 14th was not written to address immigration at all! It was put in place to protect the children of slaves. That means the 1898 decision was completely out of place even for its time since that case did not involve a child of a former slave.
@JohnDoe-qz1ql59 минут бұрын
Well then maybe ALL of the constitution should be done away with because it wasn't made for modern times??? That sounds dumb right!?? 14th Says ALL persons.....
