There is literally no evidence that vaping nicotine can lead to serious health problems, not a single person has died or been hospitalized from vaping regulated nicotine juice. All of those news scare stories that came out about people dying or being hospitalized form vaping were vaping black market THC cartridges, not nicotine. The media purposely made it look like it was nicotine. Do some research. The only people who got hospitalized from vaping nicotine were a few people who vaped some unregulated popcorn flavour that was bad for the lungs, but it was banned years ago and since then there hasn't been a single person who got negative health problems from vaping.

It depends in how long and how severe you use it. For me I have vaped then smoked cigarettes and it was back and forth. But I noticed everytime I would quit cigarettes and begin vaping I vaped a lot more. I use it as a crutch. When I'm happy,sad,angry,hungry,thirsty, and bored. I ended up using nicotine when I got put in foster care because it was the only thing I could go to for comfort. I look forward to it because it was a stability in my life that brought me 'joy'. Usually when I attempt to quit (which I have tried many times) I end up getting severely depressed and that is what makes me cave in. The cycle then repeats where I feel bad that I'm using nicotine again (hence why I went on this video). So for a majority of people, maybe it isn't that hard but for others it can be extremely difficult especially for someone who was a user of other substances. So we can't just discredit. I'm not calling her a liar or saying that she is telling the truth about her experience. I'm just going based on my experience of nicotine. I have also been on all of the nicotine replacement therapy and the two medications (which I had bad side effects from and allergic to the patch)

@asat16702 жыл бұрын
“You have to say no every day” hit me like a ton of bricks. I quit 6 years ago and I have to remember even now that I can never go back. I remember quitting for the 20th or so time and going through those first 2 weeks of withdrawal and saying “this has to be it. I can never go back because I will never make it through these first two weeks again”. I quit alcohol that year too and developed emotional/binge eating when I didn’t address the underlying issue of why I was only able to comfort myself with substances. Four years later I was able to get my eating under control too. A lot of that time I didn’t even realize I had a problem with it. For me it just took time to start rooting compulsion out of my life, and sometimes the removal of one compulsion made me lean into others, but that helped bring light to those areas and helped me address the root cause of WHY I was needing to cling to these things. I am an addict because I never learned how to comfort myself when dealing with unpleasant emotions. My parents never taught me because no one ever taught them. I could not soothe myself. I could not encourage myself. And it’s not that I tried to and couldn’t. I just never realized that I could. I didn’t know that was an option. Everything to reassure me had to come from outside sources. This resulted in addiction and codependency. I am still figuring out that last one. To anyone reading this that is still suffering in addiction: You are the only one that truly knows the depth and impact of your pain. You know what you’ve been through and survived. There is nothing to prove. nothing to explain. You already know the depth of it all. Be with yourself about that!! Notice yourself and all that you’ve been through. Acknowledge your strength (it’s ok to start small!). Build a conversation and exist WITH yourself to help work through and validate your pain, and maybe one day your happiness too. Build that inner relationship with yourself. One that you’ve likely been cut off from for a long time. Help give yourself what you have so desperately needed from others. Show love to yourself in all of the way that others have left you hanging. But ultimately, just keep going!!! I hope one day you can see how strong you are for making it this far. I hope one day you will feel safe with yourself. To be your protector and to the feel the safety of your protection. I hope one day you can recognize the light in yourself that you so easily recognize in others.

TW: SH As someone who has experienced addiction with self harm it was very cool to see how you handled your addiction. There's obviously some differences, one of the main things for me was how almost anything could be turned into something that could hurt me and that was what made it so hard to quit for me. I quit over a year ago after vaping for 5+ years by reading this book "Easy Way to Stop Smoking" by alan carr. look it up and try it, it is literally world famous for helping people quit nicotine. the book tells you to continue vaping/smoking while you read, so theres no pressure in buying it. Do they need something to socialaze? Non-smokers are more relaxed than smokers, non-smokers better control their emotions, so why people smoke? Congrats on your progress so far! Did you know, eight hours after quitting your lungs have already started to heal? Well done! Hang in there. It's gonna be tough. You'll face triggers like habits of when or where you'd most likely take a hit. Have a bag of barley sugars or something similar in your pocket for those moments so you can suck on that for distraction and get a little energy boost at the same time. Your hands need something to do as well. Maybe a stress ball or fidget spinner for a while. I speak from experience: I replaced smoking ciggies with vaping but used a mod rather than disposables so that I could slowly lower the nic concentration. I still vape, but only pure VG, no nic at all. I had my last ciggie 5 years ago now. You can do it too! Cheering you on!

@@sherryqueen2545 girly lemme just start off by saying if your still doing good and staying strong I’m proud of you! I’m 140+ days now. No nic, w33d, alcohol or anything, I promise after the first 2 weeks it does get easier and you do got this: although I won’t say the thought of just quitting goes away bc it doesn’t. You just have to be stronger than that, and those thoughts, if you can make it 3 days you can make it 3 weeks and if 3 weeks than 3 months. You got this❤️🤞🏼

I quit January 2nd of 2022 and I still miss vaping. This is NOT to discourage any one from quitting, but it is to show the hold it can have on you. We don’t stop vaping bc we didn’t like it. We stop vaping because we know the cost if we keep doing it. If anyone is in the quitting process, I’m very proud of you, and the cravings WILL SUBSIDE. (I used nicotine patches to help the withdrawals. Regular gum, candy, and food for the oral fixation, and I hyper fixated on games like Pokémon. This is what helped me, but what works for one person might not work for everyone) I encourage hobbies and things to keep you busy. When you are busy you think about it less!! Best of luck💕

I just hit one year vape free, most people think vaping hurts you but if you buy real vapes from trustworthy sources you should be fine. The evali outbreak came from counterfit weed carts but some people have been hurt from counterfit vapes too. My point is that most likely vaping will be fine for you, but why take the chance?

Love this! I quit smoking when I was 20. Stayed off it for 10 years. Went back in my 30ies, tried to quit several times. Switched to vaping wen a dear friend of mine died from lung cancer. It felt almost like I was more addicted to the vape all the while vaping gave me the illusion it’s less harmful than cigarettes. I got lucky and had a real bad asthma attack in my sleep that felt like I was gonna die from it. It got me so scared that I quit right after. Never touched my vape again in 6 years. Will never go back. My life is so much better now! I started looking younger after I quit even though I was in my late thirties. Crazy! I’m so much healthier and I appreciate life so much more. But it’s crazy what you go through when you withdraw. It’s totally worth it though!

This was an amazing documentary. So well made. Addiction is extremely difficult, whether it be behavioral or substance addictions. Anyone and everyone can be addicted to things and people need to stop looking down on those who are deemed "addicts". Most of the time, people become addicted to things to cope with something they are missing. I'm personally addicted to my phone, picking at my skin, random sugar/snack binges, my medication, and even addictions to other people can be a thing. When the thing you're constantly doing is damaging you and those around you but you cannot stop. I am going to keep trying, no matter how much it takes.

Going cold turkey is never easy, it's addictive and when there's others doing it it's hard for you to avoid it as well, you did what was right for you and what's right for your health and it shows the real struggle which is why I don't make fun of those who act "dramatic" when they can't smoke, they're addicted and need help it's not something to poke fun at especially if they're your friends. It's insane what the body does to you
