It’s freakishly scotch like! For American made I’ve got the OLD bottle and I was impressed! Excellent review.

HOWEVER GRATEFUL I AM FOR OREGON COMPANIES STEPPING UP AND DOING THINGS..I WOULD TRULY LOVE TO SEE AN OREGON COMPANY DO EVERYTHING FROM FARM TO BOTTLE IN OREGON. BUYING BARRELS OR BUYING GRAINS AND FINISHING THE PRODUCT IN OREGON DONT COUNT LOL. I JUST TRIED THE TRAILS END 10 YEAR OREGON BOURBON AND IT IS GOOD BUT STILL ONLY A MGP PRODUCT ....

I had one about 5 or 6 years ago, when they first came out. It was good for the price, Im sure I didnt pay much. I bet they have improved it because it was so new back then. An average american malt with scottish roots.

Also, I need to find this on the East Coast. Stupid Oregon being out West.

6 years here in Texas would be like 16 years in Scotland ... and it wouldn't. It's just different math, and I like that y'all tried to measure it based on how it smells and tastes, not on its label. Great effort. 👏👏👏👏

Clear Creek was Steve McCarthy’s distillery. Known for their brandies and grappas (which are also excellent). So it’s not subcontracted out. It’s all in the same house.

did I hear that right?, it cost 100$, wow, the American whiskey industry is pressing on the customers until they hear our wallets crack , LOL, bourbon is going up in price if they make single malt they want to charge way more than any great scotch single malt we have herein US, amazingly crazy ,LOL, we need to let Macalan know they are falling behind with pricing, American's whiskey single malt took the place in high price, wait until they get their hands on the quality cask that Scottish companies age their single malt, sherry or European cask, the prices will be amazingly high, they are not holding anything back when comes to pricing LOL,
