#18 testing a New York Central 6 Chime Whistle for Rizzoli Locomotive Works.

I don’t know why, but the whistle kinda sounds like a 5 chime even though it’s a 6 chime. The NYC was something else when it came to their whistles back in their heyday.

The NYC used two different types of 6-chimes. I'm not sure, but I think that this is a short-bell 6 chime. The Central also used longbell 6 chimes that, if I remember correctly, were built under license from Nathan. The WM 1309 used a NYC Longbell 6 Chime last winter.

That engine really sounded like it's pulling multiple freight cars as opposed to just 3 passenger cars!

That is a star on top of what I believe is the "North Pole". There will be lots more added, but this is the destination of the Polar Express trains.
