It is said that people love pop music because it is repetitive and people are comforted by knowing what is to come. I love music like This album (and a lot of fusion music) for the complete opposite reason, you are never sure what the drummer or keyboardist will do next or where the song will take you. 10/10.

So inspired, what inner energy, mixture of fundamental afro-latin rythmes, modal coltrane inspired jazz and some debussy and classical harmony ... RIP mr great Mac-coy. You are missing...

The title track and the album are a tour de force. Mr Franco and Mr Blake on congas and violin respectively offer up interesting textures. All of the musicians are top flight.

The power and the beauty of these songs never grow old...I'd like to say it's Modern Hebrew-Israelite music from that part of the world. Just sayin'...
