Congrats on the Exclusive! I think those Renewed look really cool. The look of the base is very reminiscent of the 90s Leaf #dryden

I heard SSP 19-20 and 21-22 retros are in there I've not seen one
@FultoncardsАй бұрын
As I mentioned, they are not really retros. They are tribute Young Guns. They are rare SSP, i.e. with low print runs. They include a 15/16 McDavid and 19/20 Suzuki etc. Young Guns Outburst.

I've never been a big fan of the flagship. There's just always something a bit lacking every year. I'd like to see them add autos or mem cards perhaps and cut down on some of the inserts. #Dryden
@FultoncardsАй бұрын
Well. For what it's worth. It is one of the few non-auto products in the entire hobby. Almost every other product other than base OPC and MVP are rooted in chasing autos. UDS's entire premise and origin is non-auto Young Guns. UDS did try autos and mems for years, and they essentially had zero secondary market interest or appeal. UDS has had some rare SSP Snow Spray and Canvas autos, but really as easter eggs. Many collectors have appreciated UD introducing the Young Guns Outburst, as that synchs with the UDS core identity. I get it if a non-auto product is not your thing. But, I personally would like to see collectors embrace the different stratifications of the hobby, and value certain non-auto RCs, such as Precious Metal Gems, UD Ice Premieres, etc. To me the issue with UDS isn't the lack of autos (note the Jake Allen in the background is a 15/16 UDS2 auto). It's the mass printing of Young Guns. I don't mind creating YG Renewed or YG Retros, as thy again underscores the raison d'etre of the product.

Is there a numbered card in every hobby box ? That’s how you made it sound but I don’t have a numbered card anywhere in sight from mine.
@FultoncardsАй бұрын
UD Series guarantees a "wildcard" card. They are either a numbered card (including printing plate 1/1) or a short-print ratio card, i.e. a non numbered card with difficult or case hit type odds.

It makes me laugh how so many people dont know what `tribute`means. Its retro
@FultoncardsАй бұрын
Well, strictly speaking the term "tribute" simply implies a commemorative card, often a reissue of a cherished RC. And a retro is a prior design being reused for current players. But, different card companies (and third parties) define the terms differently. My firm belief - having collected for 50 years - is there is no right or wrong usage, as collectors themselves build out the hobby. UD and Topps' checklists themselves contradict their own usage. ...But it's like language more broadly. British English is no more real than American English. Common usage just evolves over time.
