I don't want to insult anyone, because the craftsmanship of the construction workers is very good. And I know they are spending a lot of money doing this. And they think they are making it better. But it's not. Takes all the character out of McDonald's. Turns it into a cold looking business place. They take Ronald McDonald away, all the other characters and they change the looks of the store. The old shapes of the '80s and '90s were warm and welcoming. I've even heard young teens saying that they love the old 80's styles. Of course people will still go to McDonalds. But again this takes out all the warmth and character. Seems like they're trying to end dine in and the fun of McDonald's

@@haroldisintrouble yes but just because we're living in a modern age and things need to be modern, modern doesn't have to be ugly with know type of Style. Minimalist Style just cool for a little while with a certain group. Wasn't mainstream. People like to have things especially fast food fun and decorative. I mean I'm not from the 50s and 60s, but they even did decorations that look great then. From around 2008 on, people started making things boring to look like Office Buildings

In the 50s it was great. 60s were different than 50s, but still great. 70s were different than 60s, but still great. 80s were different than 70s, and still great. And I didn't see McDonalds or anything else in the 50s, 60s and 70s. But I still liked the way they designed things. 90s were ok too. But now I wanna go someplace like McDonalds that's supposed to be a merry atmosphere, and now feel like going to work in the office

My local McPlayPlace got an exterior renovation in Sept '12, but kept everything on the interior. When the time came for this remodel (which they did in Sept '18) they repainted the exterior gray and completely redid the interior, newer Play places suck but kids are getting more hyper so climbing is more suitable than crawling around. The new ones, though, are bland and don't have character like the older ones. 😢

average lifespan of a building for McDonald's standard is 40 years or so. This one also had a basement (you can see them filling it in at the start of the video) and had a much smaller footprint. I'm assuming they wanted a bigger restaurant space.

In my town, they demolished the old big McDonald's, and it had a huge playplace but now it's small and the new playplace is cramped and no adults can hit in anymore. McDonald's went to happy to sad

Like the one I used to go to. They used to have a massive playground but they demolished the building with the very old McDonald’s near it with a bland box with a tiny playground. I absolutely hate that location now (I hate it even more then the other ones)

One McDonald’s near me used to have an outdoor PlayPlace, but that one was demolished in mid to late 2013 and replaced with a brand new one that has an indoor PlayPlace. And I feel like their PlayPlace is awesome. I was still able to fit in it when I was 13-14 years old, and it even has a stationary pogo stick. However, this is not the case for another McDonald’s near me. Another one near me used to have a Safari theme and had a really cool and huge PlayPlace that had a bridge that went over the tables so you could wave to your parents while you were up there. However, in August 2017, that location was remodeled and the old playground equipment was replaced with new bland and boring equipment that’s smaller doesn’t take up the entire room and is not safari themed even when the walls were not repainted out there. Anyways, they made a smaller playground so that they can have more tables and an extra pickup window for the drive thru

Not really. The old one got demolished with the building. What sicko thought to leave the play place there while they demolished the building. I’m very glad when they quote on quote modernized the building at least they kept the same play place while remodeling the roof and interior instead of demolishing the building. I’m very sorry if someone’s childhood McDonald’s play place was demolished if the workers decided to tear it down instead of just remolding it.

Lots complaiining about how this building looks, but i actuallly like tne look of this one compared to the look of the other newer mcdonalds. Building looks just as big as the old school ones. Also they kept the playhouse, not many do that. Here just 2 yrs ago they demolished our mcdonalds it had a play house. The new one they built does not have a playhouse and looks way way more uglier than this one here. I wished they would of built the new one to look like this one here, and keep the play house.
