Loving this series so far, but have a gripe about Turtle WoW. Was playing earlier today and 5 people waiting for one quest item to spawn with a WAAAAY too long spawn timer. THESE kinds of QoL changes need to be addressed by the devs. It's not 150 people playing your server anymore.

Curse of Recklessness was actually a staple must-have for raiding in (I'll say "New-era vanilla wow") since it reduces armor on the boss, allowing rogues and warriors to pump harder

@@morthim if you turn warmode on, you can absolutely get ganked by other players and it counts as a death. Hardcore players usually have warmode on until 20-25 at most, then they disable it.

That troll architecture reminded me of the troll area where you do the escort quest in the Blood Elf 10-20 zone, uh ghostlands was it. Void walker best for solo play, and imp for grp play in vanilla. Felhunter was mostly used in PVP for detect invis.

I started playing Turtle this week. I'm seeing high level horde roll through elwynn and keeps killing the warmode players. I think a lot of them stop after Westfall. Also you can't turn it on/off sadly its perma

In turtle wow it horde high level that gank low level alliance people like gresebag plays almost 24/7 as goblin and kills low level players till they stop using warmode before no griefing was a thing.

It’s a shame to see you refer to Curse of Recklessness as Curse of garbage lol. CoR is extremely useful for controlling your feared targets; toggling it on mobs to keep them bouncing back and forth with fear casts so you don’t get those out of control accidental fear fulls. Very useful in dungeons also.

There is no problem with Griefing, if, youre in the lv bracket of the ones beeing griefed, lots of rogue players did that to me on my first time playing wow, but back them it was my incompetence the fault of it, but today ppl only try to grief when they KNOW they will win because of the lv diff, thats not pvp...

Turtle Wow is SO close to feeling worth it to play, the main thing is the talent trees. I, myself, even offered to do an overhaul of them for Turtle Wow since I have a good repuation in the Warcraft community for making some of the highest quality mods, but they said they had it covered and wanted me to do LUA addons? Noticed a week later they posted a talent tree update, and it was UBER underwhelming. Vanilla+ talents beat T-Wow. I'd like to see this change, but I'm not sure they're open to it.

I don't know why but the vibes of Turtle WoW are just so good. I wouldn't be able to put my finger on it, it's a combination of chill wholesome Vanilla nostalgia and super sweet, flavorful custom content. I REALLY hope they add ogres, if I can finally play as an ogre mage I'm downloading then and there.

Alliance doesn't like doing warmode that much, westfall is a dead sentence, heard so many gankers there making the defias escort quest basically impossible. Also we reached 3k online players 😃

The server is very nice and friendly. My first thought was also that I need to level fast, as I always have, but I really just like the leveling aspect and usually get bored at max. Now the trip is the destination - something I think Twow cultivates in a very good way. Progressing the character and meeting many awesome people along the way. Edit: but they also absolutely have options to speed up levelling as well with war mode and tents.

Warmode is 30% increased xp. And the best thing is to sit under tents to get 1.5x rested xp. When it runs out, go back and repeat. Helps a lot

Back in the day only VERY FEW people got it. It was a reward for participating in a Blizzcon. I dont remember which year. So it wasn't even a rare item, it was an exclusive item. One time i saw a guy with it on retail and i made fun of him. I told him i can beat him on foot and i did. He didnt take it very well and he ignored me. What a dumbass! XD
