I do like the strong man look for Bane. He has a very imposing silhouette. With no leg articulation, this could have just been a statue. Since this is a build a character, I don't know why the tubes were not added. I'm surprised something like this got approved.

I think they were going for comic accuracy? Haven't seen this version of Bane in a while but his back should have scarecrow.

I had some hopes for these new McFarlane Toys action figures and I bought quite a few, I completed this set, the two Darknights Metal sets (I'm missing two Robins but getting one of each while having to import them is very hard because they will be shipped randomly), the armored Batman and Superman from the first wave and with much regret the Batman and Superman cartoon versions. I even backed the Spawn kickstarter but I haven't bought a single McFarlane Toys since, not even the Spawns and I love the character. McFarlane Toys keep repeating the same mistakes and a mistake you keep repeating stops being a mistake and becomes a stubbornness. On top of that I have almost no relation with the versions of the characters they have been releasing lately, I know the characters but I don't know those versions, I would much prefer the classic versions. Regarding this particular BAF I fully agree with your opinion Anthony and just to let you know, both the hands and legs will keep popping out even if you use a hairdryer or hot water.

Having 0 hip articulation kills it for me. I get he's a big dude, and he's not doing any splits, but he's literally just going to stand there (menacingly!) now.

This figure is like the old Marvel Select figures. Great sculpt and little to no articulation. Reminds me of Marvel Select Juggernaut.

"Oh no! It's BANE!" Walks up a few steps. "Ah. Mush better." Bane teeters over to the bottom of the steps and stops. A look of realization and self loathing crossing his face as Bane comes to understand that he has been defeated by an in animate object that most three-year-olds have mastered. I'm glad to see that you have the good and the bad. Sometimes toy reviewers just praise the good points and gloss over the short falls. Better critique will hopefully give better products in the future if anybody is listening. You are exactly right about the hips. If they were going to do no hip articulation they should have saved their money on tooling and simply cast the figure from the waist down as a solid piece. Really takes the action out of action figure if it doesn't have good articulation.

You could get the legs to move by cutting the rubber peices of the pants and for some reason his hip joints are sculpted to look like the pants. So I think that McFarlane was originally gonna do the underwear peice but for some reason they changed their mind and decided to just cover it. Also the legs stay on better.

I do really like the look of this figure. I was excited to put him together once I had all the figures and pieces to build him. But….once I started trying to put him together, that’s when it all started to fall apart (literally). Even after I managed to get him put together, every time I tried to move or pose him, his hands or legs would fall off. So, just as you reviewed, he makes a pretty cool looking statue. Great review as always!

Hands and hips not connecting have been a consistent problem with this figure across the board. It's very unfortunate because the sculpt is very appealing. Also I'm pretty sure the zombie skin is inaccurate to the source material. Great review as always!

I would be fine for sacrificed on articulation if it can do the basics(looking at saint myth cloth ex figure) but this extent is just statue posing as an action figure. could have bought a statue that has little to seam whatsoever and it would have look better..

I used a hair dryer and all the pieces of my Bane actually have stayed in place even if I move them.

I've seen the complaints for the legs and hands popping out for awhile now, I didn't use a hair dryer or warm water, just literal sheer force and strength and at this point I can't get the legs or hands to pop off at all.

Those hands are definitely like that for mine as well. I haven’t tried the hair dryer treatment on them, but it just seems like they’re gonna pop out. Absolutely agree about the hips, it kills it for me. The guy still looks awesome but I wanted to get him in a dynamic pose or at least a break the bat pose. Hopefully McFarlane releases a regular Bane somewhere down the road with better articulation.

Yeah this Bane is not for me 👁👁💢 I personally don't like the mask design either. I'm very picky about articulation, sculpt, ect. There's so much wrong with this figure, it frustrates me just watching. 👁👁 & I do agree, we do need a classic looking Bane, sometime in the near future. 👀

@@DemBaddBonez Yep! I had partial regret about buying the set to build this guy to be honest. None of it really appealed to me, I just saw Bane and didn’t want to pay whatever people were gonna charge him completed 😐 especially since our options for a decent Bane figure seem to other be expensive or a bit dated. I’m picky about some of that stuff as well, McFarlane toys in general have irked me lately. From the weird soft chest (Bloodsport and Doctor Fate) to the odd articulation in the legs just in general, and some just fall apart on me. Have a Elsewords Batman that his arm pops off at the swivel. A Cyborg from the Justice League movie that looks like his arm wasn’t properly installed. I’ve backed off from them but a classic Bane and I’ll throw money at whoever puts that figure out 😆 Funny enough, there’s a guy that made three different head sculpts for this Bane. One that resembles the knightfall mask, another one with bigger eyes, and one with some really small eyes. He also made a venom tank. Idk man, we just need more options, and more villains in this line.

enjoy these late reviews,...I used a ceramic heater then slapped the joints together real strong and fast & it holds...posing them, I also help by giving pressure into the joints while moving them, I can move the hips by 30 degrees for a walking pose, its what it is,..still like it

Spot on review. Great sculpt, poor articulation, and limbs popping off has been a running problem with this figure. That said, it is a cool sculpt. I have this, it does look great on the shelf.

have you used a ceramic heater? heat em for a minute then attach them real quickly, it holds well, just dont force the joints excessively beyond regular ranges.,yeah its funny, for a strong guy figure, you got to be delicate with it...

Ok so yea out of box the thing is ass. But I made 2 simple mods to give mine a lot more articulation. If you get a exacto knife. Cut out a chunk of his shorts at the very bottom of the crotch between his thighs. This will free up his legs so that you can actually get his legs pegged in. And doing so will you move his legs all over the place. 2nd mod is if you take off his shirt, and cut away the extra mounding above his belt the, you will be able to use his torso joint pretty well. As for the hands I just used hot water and once they went in right then they never fell out again. I dont take credit for this mod. It was another youtuber on here that figured this out. Unfortunately I forgot his name.

As a statue, it get 2/10 for fall apart this easily. If not trying anyway, just make everything solid at least. Do they just aiming to make products good for promote pic and nothing more? How long do they think they can last?

Bain is cool looking but I personally passed on this wave because of all the problems other collectors were having with him. Everyone who collects McFarlane figures already knows the articulation sucks on pretty much all of them. They don’t stand on their own most of the time. And half the ones I own have some kinda problem. That being said he is one hell of an artist and I love the look of his figures enough to over look the things I don’t like most of the time. It’s a love/hate relationship lol.
