The artwork looks better than the figure itself when it comes to the source material, I am not a big fan of the rebirth designs, I am more of a classic/90s look for the majority of them.

The headsculpt reminds me of that "Escape from Bizarro world" arc pencilled by Eric Powell.

Well since you said that it looks like Grey Hulk/Joe Fixit than well that head sculpt on this Bizarro kind of does, but that's okay it does give him that this isn't a perfect clone of Supes. Man, I still need to get myself a Bizarro and this might do it or some other past Bizarro figures it just depends on my preference and junk.

This is a decent Bizarro figure. However, as you've already mentioned, the head sculpt looks more like the Grey Hulk than it does Bizarro. The thighs are a bit on the short side as well. Otherwise, thanks once again Spot. I really appreciate it!

So, the headsculpt on this Bizarro is actually pretty specifically based on his look in the recent "Red Hood and the Outlaws" run by Scot Lobdell. In that run, Bizarro starts out with a more "traditional" comic book look and, as he goes on his character arc and finds himself, ends up with this more current "millennial" hairstyle and a much more "zen" personality. Now, where I think this runs into issues is I can't actually remember Bizarro wearing this costume during that run, he tended to favour more of a "jeans and a backwards-S Superman t-shirt" look, as far as I recall. But that having been said, my memory is far from perfect, and he may well have worn this outfit at some point during that arc.

I really like this figure. I personally like my Bizarro to be a bit more purple even though the traditional blue is probably more accurate.

It's odd to me how MacFarlane pack some of their characters with flight stands but most just come with normal stands. I wish that they'd include a flight stand for all characters that have the ability to fly or glide in the comics and let the buyer choose how to display the figure. Surely Bizarro warrants one?

The flight stands are probably more expensive so the most reasonable expectation is that they will give it to some of the characters but not all of them

@@Shinmsl That's a fair point. I'd absolutely buy their flight stands if they sold them separately, no one else really produces reliable flight stands at the moment.

I got him a few weeks ago it's a decent looking figure but i still wish mcfarlane toys would have added more paint apps to make it pop. I agree he does looks like a grey hulk 🤣 wished it came with a flight stand

Great review, it's not a perfect rendition of Bizarro but it's quite good I think I might want to get one to do a little custom painting at least I'm not big on the Moe Howard hairdo. Also it's kind of odd the artwork they they chose for the trading card and the back of the packaging is not really the costume he's wearing: the belt is different. But just getting something from McFarlane DC multiverse that's not Batman or Death metal is a relief, don't get me wrong they look cool but I don't care about those characters and I don't want to hoard any figures on my collection because budget and space isn't infinite 😋

Absolutely love this figure. Unfortunately mine has a leg with a broken joint so it can't stand without balancing against something. Might get a flight stand for him and get another to stay in box.
