Great review. I can’t believe they made this figure and how detailed it is and the price of it. I’m so happy where McFarlane is going with this line and how he is executing the figures. I would prefer to have other characters that are not batman related but he is my second favourite character (after Superman) and I’m sure after a while we will have many more heroes. but regardless, I love Batman and I love The Dark Knights Metal storyline so I’m definitely picking him up. We really need a Lobo now! McFarlane would make a great Lobo.

Iamagine paying 20-25$ for another reused Marvel Legends repaint, when you can get this guy for the same amount of money. This figure has more sculpt work than an entire series of Marvel Legends figures, the fact that McFarlane sells it for such a low peicepoint is insane! Such a great deal.

He already brought back the build a figure so I doubt this will be a common thing probably just something to get people interested in the line like a free sample of coffee and the next one cost way more but maybe I’ll be proven wrong. Plus marvel has put out plenty of good figure like the Walgreens thing, dr doom, vintage hulk, etc that can easily rival this for 20$ but hey if you got your fanboy glasses on to tight to accept that then I guess enjoy your figures 🤷‍♂️

McFarlane has set the standard for 20 dollar action figures, starting with his Fortnite line and improving it with this DC Multiverse. These definitely crush Marvel Legends in every way. That won't make me stop buying Marvel Legends though, because McFarlane doesn't make my favorite Marvel characters. If he ever secures that license, I will reboot my Marvel collection. Until then, hopefully his example can influence Hasbro to step things up.

I am a sucker for an articulated jaw. lol I can understand the argument for him being bigger if the figures were in a 6 inch scale. Since he is in 7 inch scale and is bigger than other figures, I think the size is good. Especially for the price point.

An awesome review! I mainly collect only Joker figures, statues and busts but I'll be making an exception on these since I'm also a huge horror fan. So I plan on getting all the Dark Night Metal figures in this line because they look totally amazing they did an incredible job in my opinion. Years ago I used to collect the McFarlane Movie Maniac figures and those looked exceptional but at the time I always wished they had full articulation so my prayers have now been answered with these new figures. So I collect mainly the Joker I have miniatures, Pop figures, 1/12 to 1/6 figures, 1/10 to 1/4 statues, 1/6 to 1/1 busts, 1/64 to 1/48 Jokermobiles as well as comics, graphic novels, prints, trading cards and t-shirts. I have a few select Harley Quinn pieces but I bought these as accessories for my Joker displays. I do also have 2 smaller side collections one is Evil Clown figures and the other is Judge Death from the Judge Dredd comics. I started collecting when I was 7 years old. I dont think people are giving this figure enough credit. This is basically the equivalent of the baf monster venom, but BETTER, released at the $20 price point. I seriously don’t understand the complaints people have with this. This is way too special and way too great to be slept on. (Also pls review the darker batman first ive been dying to see a review of that guy (the one thats not green lantern))

I totally agree I think these figures look incredible and at a great price. Other 1/12 figures being released by other companies will cost you between $50 to $100. But there are always collectors with the glass being half empty outlook. 👍😎

The scale is fine since he's abit taller and bigger than Superman and appears even larger than the Hell Bat Armor and Unchained Superman Armor so im good with that and for 19.99 wow so nice as i will be displaying him deeply fighting the mcfarlane 1000 Superman

Love the figure and can't wait for mine. Walmart's pre-order says October though so I've got a long wait still. I'm fine with the size the only thing I don't like are the way the shoulders are done. I know it's to please the articulation crowd but it just looks like his arms are coming out of sleeves. I'd rather lose the articulation and have his shoulders sculpted.

Great review. This figure looks fantastic. This is right in MacFarlane's lane. Also it takes a bit of the sting out of DC Collectibles being gone. Always good to see DC product. Especially anything Batman!

Back in the toybiz days imports couldn't make a dent because the standard was so high. The customs scene blew up as a direct response to Hasbro cheaping out. I even hope he ups his price a little so he can sustain this level of quality now that he is the sole purveyor of 7" DC stuff. I'd pay DCC prices for this stuff, maybe even NECA prices.

I own a lot of marvel legends and they all feel very distinct I never understood the complaint that your just buying the same figure over and over. The only time I think they heavy reuse is on characters they know won’t sell well so what’s the point in sculpting new parts I don’t really buy those any way so I don’t feel cheated.

If you wanted a better sense of height comparison, you're better off closing the legs in a more natural standing pose. Spreading the legs costs you in height. Otherwise pretty awesome video
