As "lame" as it was to like them, they were a really incredibly band. They always nailed it live, and their first few albums were decent.

That's because they are all moving their heads along with their own different strumming patterns. In that specific part Tom has the rhythm guitar role, Danny has the lead guitar and Dougie is following his bass, that's why Tom's movement is more fluid while Dougie's is the fastest paced and Danny's is kind of inbetween.
