Looks good I’m kinda situation dependent on the grinding welds flush if I can or it needs it aesthetically then I do but most heavy equipment in the woods came from the factory with rough beads so I don’t worry about it most the time but a machine like this doing yard work why not look stylish while you’re at it right

Why is the thumb breaking??? - The hydraulic pressure of the thumb cylinder needs to be adjusted lower. This is so the bucket crowd cannot break the thumb as it has been doing. Think about it and you will get the idea. Whoever fitted the thumb should have set the pressure the thumb cylinder can hold.
@firstname6208Ай бұрын
Just bought a thumb for mine. Instructions specifically says thumb pressure must be less than 2500 psi. It must be below bucket curl pressure so these things don't happen. Bent cylinders are common failures too.

Very educational. Do you keep your 7018 rods in any kind of oven or put them in your home oven before you use them or just in the water tight plastic rod holder with the gasket? I only ask because we had ours in a special oven at the school I went to last year.

@mcfwelding2 жыл бұрын
For pipe welding sure, 6010 doesn't belong in any heavy equipment
@thenamesjohny14902 жыл бұрын
I thought the same because that's what they taught at the community College when we were practicing but it makes sense since the first two numbers indicate tensile strength with 7018 being at 70,000 and 6010 at 60,000.
@bgs4896 Жыл бұрын
@@thenamesjohny1490 this type steel of is low in alloys which make it quicker to cool down as of 8018 rod has higher tension than 7018 6010 would dig out the low alloys steel with 7018 being a fixing rod witch let the weld fix then Crack this type of steel another type of beast 😉
