Sid contract in 2013 for 8,7M was about the same ( % on salary cap ) as the 14M for Leon ,,Crosby and Malkin take no escount ,,Fleury and Letang were the bargain

The Blues had the best D in the NHL when they won in front of a hot goalie with great defensive forwards. The Leafs literally have no D. Aging Reilly who the team wins 90% of games he's not in the lineup and a really old and beat up Tanev.

How much is too much that it hurts to get those depth players to make a deep run into the playoffs . If your on team Matthew's you want to play as close to 82 games as possible. Screw fans hopes . Pay Matthew players what they perform in the regular season. You might argue Edmonton players are different. Yes they are most perform after 82 . But you do end up not deep enough for the Maui Jewels to penetrate Stanley to jump North of the border.

Woll has started 4 playoff games. All elimination games. He has won 3 and lost the other in overtime. Staying healthy is his problem. He will be elite if healthy.

Is McGuire patronizing fans now the way some other lame content creators are? EVERY single team in the NHL will cause problems they are nhl players for a reason but this is like saying MTL is special only they will be causing problems otherwise he wouldn't need to mention it we already know NHL players are really good they are competitors ALL of them. WAY too much money for Draisaitl I would let some other team handle that cap hit and suffer from issues trying to build a TEAM. The funny thing is all people see is the big numbers but Draisaitl in the playoffs his last 5 games 3 pts minus 1 that is when it matters the most the Stanley Cup on the line so did he play under pressure like a 14 mil player when it mattered>>>>nope.

Ryan O’Rilley plays similar to Mitch Marner but grittier !? Pretty much sums up Pierre in one sentence. Smartest dumb person in the hockey world Leafs had a better top 4 forward group and that’s it, same story every year. Blues had a much better HOCKEY TEAM!!! Their players played their roles to a T
