MCH Photo at Rally Dakar 2021 - What it takes to photograph the toughest motorsport race!

Behind the scenes video from our journey through Rally Dakar 2021. It was my 10th Dakar I covered, so I wanted to do something a bit more special and this is the result! A 20min "documentary" about what Dakar means to me and what it takes to follow the toughest race on earth as a photographer.

Díky moc. Přejezdů je tam rozhodně dost, ale to je asi to poslední. Respektive je to samozřejmě únavné, ale je tam spousta jiných věci, které jsou tam z hlediska fotografa náročnější a důležitější.

Defintely positive. I was a bit "afraid" and often tried to avoid shooting the action with it. I knew it was really good for the ambience - especially with the new 50mm 1.2 - it is just an awesome combo. But honestly speaking, I shot with it for last 4 days the action as well and was really happy about it. The sharpness and the quality of the image is better than DSLR, I am more than ok with the speed, the fact you can check the photos in the view finder while you are on the sun - that's a good bonus, as well that you see the exposure right away. I do not mind the blackout (which is shorter than it used to be) that much, even it is a bit annoying in a fast sequence, but I do mind the fact that it takes like a second or so to come from the sleep mode to shooting mode, which is a lot sometimes.
