I had a ma252. A great and beutiful amplifier for reasonable money, but not without flaws. The biggest one is that when we listen quietly, the stage lowers (the singer suddenly sits down instead of standing) e.g. on the amplifier Haiku Audio Sensei 211it wasn't, but MA252 was better - he didn't get short of breath on faster tracks . And the second disadvantage is the amplifier generates not enough low bass. However, there is a remedy for this - NOS tubes. For me the ECC803S Siemens TripleMica and 12AT7WA GE TripleMica or E81CC Haltron TripleMica were the best :) It sounds holographic with a captivating mid-range and nice treble, and the bass, as I mentioned, could be better but already with these tubes he was very pleasant. Mcintosh tubes are weak (it's actually JJ). Tannoy also beautiful but i wasn't listening. Maybe it would be even better.

Shocking positioning. The speakers wont even get close to their potential. I just cant believe how many audiophools have more money than sense and then record this trait for the world to see!

We all work within our limitations. Perhaps this is the only spot in this gentleman's home for a system, and if it makes him happy that's all that matters.

@@stevenbullock9276Theres no arguing with wht makes another person happy. My experience with the taller but narrower Kensingtons and home demo of these Turnberry was that these large cabinets NEED space and NEED serious toe in (as per the manual) to get anywhere near sounding right. In this position the centre image will be diffuse, have no depth perspective and a muddy tonality will prevail and the Turnverry is already a rolled off loudspeaker compared to a Kensington. If one knows what sort of space one has to work with, then one should buy speakers that actually suit it. Some small narrow towers or bookshelves with a sub would be vastly superior. What makes someone else happy, i dont know? What makes me happy is not wasting my money and not suffering barely half of my speakers potential!

@@tannoyfanvinh17 Thaks. Is said abaut the exceptionall VFM of CAyin and I know that is a basic Cayin but tha Mc is too the lowest price amp in the market....Thats why I asked if there is much gap between them. I have owned a Cayin LA 34 that did not love it.
