Impressive work! Can the device be connected to a PRE-out of an integrated amplifier and then to a power amplifier? Thank you!

It is the way to place it between the signal and preamp or after preamp towards the amplifier. It can measure as well very low signals before amplification like a dynamic microphone.

Hi, the VU-Meters need to be started manually by the back switch? They don't have a stand-by mode? I am asking because, when I am done listening music, I will have to turn off the VU-Meters / back lights.

Is a manual hands-on unit. Brom the power switch from the back or a better way from the power supply to not sit and consume power. Personally, I like the master switches or the remote sockets with the remote control. No stand-by. Is all analogic. Features can be added. As well as a potentiometer for adjusting the brightness or USB power. Is just that people are not asking for them and also I wanted to be something like a professional would choose. USD for pro audio is a bit...new. Thanks for reaching out with your question.

Absolutly stunning work, something really beautifull. Is it accurate?
@FlyHighWavesSounds2 жыл бұрын
Very accurate. It is how is calibrated in the end. It measures RMS levels and as well very sensitive. Even a simple finger touch can trigger the meter to its max. That mean microphone level signal. Thank you for reaching and for appreciation TheGreenGuy

Hi - great build and really cool! If one were using this in a conventional 2-channel audio rig, where would it go in the signal path to capture the amps output? (Ie. If I want to add meter functionality to an amp without meters). Also, is it possible to do this with a smaller scale on the VU meters? (I use tube amps that top out at 50 watts, and with efficient speakers I doubt I use more than 20 watts as a practical matter - so need more detail sub 1-watt). Thank you! Jonathan

You can put anything on it if is line level. The signal will pass trough.

Is a need to reduce the signal on signal level. Resistors can be used for this. In range of mega ohms most probably.

I am very interested in getting one of these. Does it bounce higher on the scale as volume is turned up?
@FlyHighWavesSounds8 ай бұрын
It does. In the back, there are the 10-turn potentiometers for precision calibration. The meter is very sensitive. With a simple touch of a finger and will jump up to the max scale if is turned all the way up. It can measure as well microphone signal without any amplification or turntable signal which is millivolts. Hope this answers your question. Thanks for reaching out to ask.

@@FlyHighWavesSounds So it connects between the preamp and the amp with RCA jacks?

I've got a Kenwood KA-5010 amp would I plug this into the tape/adaptor inputs on the amp.
@FlyHighWavesSounds Жыл бұрын
Anywhere where you have line level signal into VU. From there from outputs you can get the signal to the amp.
