@@nichhodge8503 A German TV station bought the rights to show 'Allo 'Allo and dubbed it into German. My question to my German colleague at the time was, " How do you dub the English policeman who speaks dodgy French, into German?" She simply said that they were very clever. I still don't know how it could be done without losing some of the humour.

The stutter Skit is based on King George the V1 who had a bad stutter. the film the Ing's Speech tells the story.kzbin.info/www/bejne/pmK3ppWhr92DfLs The speech was after serious speech therapy sessions. You can still hear the hesitancy and the concentration to control the stutter.

The king joke you said you didn't get. The king (king George VI) was the queen's father and because his brother gave up the throne for Wallis Simpson he was next in line for king, however he stuttered all his life, but did get support. There was a film made about it called "the kings speech " furthermore there may well be some utube videos of him making speeches, he clearly has a speech impediment, managing to slow his words right down. He died then (future) queen was then made queen Elizabeth II in 1952 (she was in Kenya at the time she learned of her father's death) she was 25 years old. Kindest regards x

Interesting question on bottled water. Coca-cola tried to launch Dasani Water here in the UK. Their advert proclaimed it was "full of spunk" not realising that spunk is slang here in the UK for cum. Needless to say, it failed totally. Oh, it was also a carcinogen.

The jokes in the sketch at the end revolve around the fact that George VI (the late Queen's father) was a very famous and severe stammerer, as well as an improbable monarch (the crown had originally gone to his possible Nazi-supporting brother Edward VIII, but he abdicated in order to marry an American divorcée: scandalous!), the lady who came in with him was supposed to be his queen consort, but she conceded to her introduction as "the queen mum in disguise" because "Queen Mother" is what Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon was known as for most people alive today who remember her (because otherwise there would have been two "Queen Elizabeths" at the same time) and the man with the impenetrable accent is supposed to be Lionel Logue, an Australian-born speech therapist who mostly cured the King of his speech impediment (and a possible commentary on old films to have very generic, poorly-researched accents for "commoners" or indeed anyone who didn't speak in received pronunciation). I believe this sketch was made around the time that "The King's Speech" was made, which was about precisely everything I've just described: a sort of satirical commentary on what the film would have looked like if it had been made closer to the time when the events really happened.

Not all bottled water is from tap water, but many are. Some are from springs and such. One might argue that the bottled tap water is better as they purify it and then put in minerals in line with what has tested well. The Queen's father had a stammer, and went to a speech therapist, to that extent it was historically accurate, however I somehow doubt it is accurate beyond that. :)
