Coming from a Hawaii driller myself, I will say they had the whole routine down, I give props for that, they all knew what they were doing and executed it perfectly, however I can catch lot of sloppy stuff and mistakes including body movements etc... if a team is going to do a routine that involves high intensity speed like this, they should use more time to perfect the aspect of body control movements so they don’t look so shaky, perhaps maybe deciding to do thinks slower and go from pace to pace, at a slow, medium and then fast pace, and repeat. This was a good performance tho, good shit mckinley.

Funny you say that, back in the day when i was part of my team. My Drill instructor would tell us that most teams who use high speed sequences do it to hide the fact that they are sloppy. With the exception of a couple of schools and the now retired Kings Guard. He would tell us judges like slow routines or medium tempo because the slower the tempo the easier you can see mistakes. The slower the tempo and you can also work on those mistakes.

The commander is performing the routine along with his fellow cadets. The c/SGT with the slinged rifle is an extra.
