Wrong the 720s dyno BS numbers were from quote me happy dynos in the USA. Owners here have used proper maha chassis dynos which produced the manufacturers figures! The car was fast due to the fat power curve, light weight and gearbox. Top end where power really matters at 170-200mlh the pista was just as quick which was tested by drag times and Robert at apex

Assuming Mat did the 0-150mph in a straight line, it covered 0.9 miles in 9.8 seconds, so it's sure to beat the 911 turbo s (which does 0-150 in ~14.9s). Obviously gearing comes into play as well as launch speed and traction, but it sounds near certain it'd win.

Something about your math is wrong. The 765LT does the 1/4 mile in 9.9 seconds. You’re stating that it does nearly a full mile in 9.8, which isn’t possible, since McLaren reached around 130 mph by the time the 1/4 mile is over. The time isn’t wrong, just the distance of 0.9 miles.

Elegant? McLaren? Good grief, they are hideous. Fast? Have you seen what the SF90 did on the Dunsfold track? You do also realize that the Pista is actually faster than the 720S on the track right? And it looks a hell of a lot better doing it. Lambos are for showoffs, McLarens are just odd, and Ferrari makes a car that is elegant, fast and special. Porsche? We're talking exotics here.

ABOlsen80X Ferrari fanboy lol, and you do realise the SF90 and the 765LT are quite close because of power to weight ratios, and also both cars aren't even in the same class because one is a track car and the other isn't, why can't you just say both cars are amazing in their own way? And you compared the track focused Pista to the non track focused 720S, but you don't mention the 765LT or Senna most probably being quicker on a track than a Pista, however a least I can accept all of them are amazing. And it's kind of senseless saying Lambos are show offs when the Aventador SV, SVJ, Huracan Performante and Evo are specifically made for track use. Other cars that are very angular or that stand out and are loud like the LaFerrari or Enzo, 911 GT3 RS and GT3's and the 458 series aren't said to be showoffs, because they aren't, but then you see the name Lamborghini and you instantly single it out, great work bud. And you are insane to think Porsche's can't be exotic lol, go inside of a 911 GT3 RS or GT3 or 918 or Carrera GT or Cayman GT4's etc and then you'll change your mind. And the way you say only Ferrari make elegant cars shows me your a fanboy, the whole elegant, fast and special thing GOES to quite literally all Lamborghini, Porsche, Ferrari and McLaren lol, for Porsche it's the 918, for Ferrari in my opinion it's the Pista, for McLaren for me it's the P1 and for Lamborghini it's the Huracan Performante, and just to clarify I'm a Porsche fan ;D

Let's see if that car will be under 10 seconds in a drag race using physics: Using those measured times we can approximate how much distance he traveled in those 9.8s using these simple formulas: d = vi * t + 1/2 * a * t, a = v/t, where d = distance, vi = initial speed, t = time, a = acceleration and v = final speed. Since we have 3 measurements from 0-150 we calculate for each segment the distance traveled for better precission: d = 0.5 * (60mph / 2.8s) * (2.8s)² + 60mph * 2.3s + 0.5 * (40mph / 2.3s) * (2.3s)² + 100mph * 4.7s + 0.5 * (50mph / 4.7s) * (4.7s)² d = 0.2376389 miles But wait, we still have 0.2s left, so we assume that the acceleration will be the same as from 100-150 since the time period is so small we won't have any deviation at all: d_final = 0.2376389 miles + 150mph * 0.2s + 1/2 * (150mph / 0.2s) * (0.2s)² = 0.2501 miles Result: This is an approximate calculation, but if there were more segments the result would be higher, so no doubt that the McLaren 765LT will do a drag race in under 10 seconds with dry track and good launch. Furthermore, the McLaren 720S already does 9.7s in a drag race, being a slower car.

They should just forget about the origin of “lt”. They are making the car 1mm longer so it can be called “long tail”, then try to explain it every time a new such car is released. Just move on, we all know that “lt” means hardcore, track version. Just use as it is, and forget about the origin.
