I've been a lonely American F1 fan for a long time now, and it's been fantastic to see the sport exploding in popularity at home. Almost all of the newer American F1 fans I meet are diehard Daniel Ricciardo fans. I really think he's one of the main reasons why F1 is growing so much in the US. Even if he's having a tough time with the McLaren car, he's still the GOAT of PR, and I hope McLaren considers that before they make any harsh decisions about Daniel's spot on the team.

Perfectly captured the atmosphere of Silverstone. Every year it's got bigger and I've not seen the main stage and the Sky show on Thursday so busy as it was this weekend. So pleased to see many more fellow female fans, especially more people far younger than myself from different backgrounds. I hope Daniel finds the sweet spot on the car. You don't just lose your talent, take Seb for example. Just hope he finds it with McLaren and doesn't leave the sport.

You both can and do lose your talent when the margins for victory are so small at the top; otherwise, there wouldn’t be ‘primes’ in each driver’s career. There’s so much more that goes into a Prime other than just pure talent..will, drive, mentality, fierceness…these change over time and talent can be molded like a muscle. It can be flexed and it can atrophy. I’m not trying to hate and I like Daniel but I’m also understanding that McLaren has a team to run and hundreds of hard working workers, mechanics and engineers who also deserve to have their efforts rewarded, and right now, the margin (delta) between the two drivers is just WAY too great and WAY too consistent to be justified by excuses like ‘bad luck’ or blamed on the team, the teammate, the car, the boss, the conspiracy…all the likely targets when someone’s favorite perhaps needs to find his inner pace somewhere else, possibly outside of F1 and that is certainly not the death sentence you may think it is, it may be just what he needs.
