It would be great to hear your take on those universal changes and how it will benefit the game in the way Capcom communicated. From my checking, I don't see much of a change. Oh yeah. Jamie's drink buff is really good. It gives him more reward off of all of his lights and cr.mk. At minimum, doing lp -> light rekka drink ender almost gives him 1 and a half bars of drive gauge. For combos with drive cancels, since the drive gauge immediately regens when the combo ends, he can regain drive back very quickly if done with any drink ender as it saves a lot of time getting that drive gauge back. This also essentially discounts his EX moves, almost all of them give you enough advantage and distance to take a drink. EX rekka: 1.5* bars, EX Palm: 1.5* bar, EX DP: 1.5* bars. Also, super art 2 gives him one full bar of drive gauge. One more thing, they buffed jamies lv 4 so that any drink ender, grants one full bar of drive gauge. Addendum: The change to super art 2, makes it so that as long that you have a sliver of drive gauge, you can do a drive rush follow up everytime with ex palm and not get burnt out.

Kim Main here, A few things I found in a quick test last night that Mura didn't mention: 1. They changed the animation for vagabond (the chop) when its distanced properly to let you know when you can combo into St. LK. 2. Because of the air Level 2 super change, OD run the auto follow up into kick can now be canceled into her level 2 on the second hit mid screen. this did not work before. 3. Hop Kick had its Hit box extended and the hurt box at the bottom was removed. Its basically a low crush now and can go over Terry and Juri’s fireballs more consistently. It also build nearly a full bar of drive on hit/block. Seems their intention was for this move to be abused more. 4 The run LK follow up had its hit box extended only during combos. Not sure what that’s for.

I haven't tested yet but I'm thinking the run Lk (I think I heard it was od run Lk not sure) could end up leading to some bigger cpmbos from juggles with Dr crhp, as far as I know it was never really a problem to land in combos so maybe it's just a way for her to get a bit more damage

If it is I'm not sure I like it tbh but i dunno it might have some uses, I found a vid of the hitbox adjustments too, these changes are looking good! Edit: forgot to say, cheers for your tips here too, would've probably missed a lot of this

Also, if you land a hit using his OD palm, you get 2 free drinks while you also get to refund a bar of drive. That's already a good buff. Imagine if it's one bar of drive per drink, that's 2 free drink levels at the cost of 0 drive, that's a steal.

@@alainchristienemendoza9982as a low masters Jamie main. Most of the cast can punish double drink. Granted not all can but it’s not free at all. But I agree 2 bars would be dumb. IMO jamie needs more damage off of some of his frame traps, a way to reliably deal with fireball, and an actual safe way to end block strings. Literally all of his combo Enders are negative and leave you in punish range

Ed, Cammy and Bison are no longer top tier. Ed's flicker and Cammy's cmp are nerfed to the ground. Endingwalker is going back to Ryu and Punk is going to transition to another character. Cammy now gets mauled by ALL the shotos, JP, gief and even blanka.No serious player is going to play Cammy or Ed now.

You might have to use your brain a little bit more, but I still think he’s top-tier. Cammys nerfs aren’t major, she’s still gonna be awesome at with punishing, she’s still gonna have her oki and pressure. You’re entitled to your opinion, but my opinion is that the top tier characters didn’t get Nerf enough in the low tier characters didn’t get buffenough.

Kim's crouching light punch change also means that she can now check 2mk mashed after her light string by checking with her 5 frame standing light kick, meaning she has more interaction ability vs the top tiers ajd has to hold fewer mixups after her own offense

The kim elbow changed because on screen freeze from dr you'd not get the timing and you'd just throw medium punch and it would get you killed. This just makes sure it comes out as intended

@pwnchmonkey1 the run change is huge, glad to hear that it's a frame trap from Tc cuz she never had any safe way to cancel that, it's nice that things will feel less of a risk now, she felt kinda high risk low reward so hopefully this makes it better, and the hop kick and slide should help with neutral especially against Ed haha he was a nightmare to fight against.

I don't really get the usefulness of the Lily changes. 2lp just makes it have the same on hit frame data as 5lp. The new combo does hardly any damage, so i don't think it is worth doing in place of condor spire as you get a better mixup. If you do an air reset into condor spire after the new combo, you can see it from a mile away because of the distance, so can be drive impacted. I never used the target combo ever, but i tested it in the corner and you are +2 after a dash i think. If you catch them airbourne, it is even more. I don't know if it has always been like that

The new combo does a little bit if you have the opponent cornered at point blank range and get a crouching LK starter with only one wind stock. Also if you don't want to spend drive or are burnt out. - At point blank range in the corner from a crouching LK starter you can get windclad LP DP into level 1 super. It's a bit more damage than just doing the lights into super. - You can also do the windclad LP DP into a windless HP DP. Again for one wind stock and no drive gauge or super meter spent, this is more damage than she had previously from that starter. Pretty damn minor in the scheme of things but hey, it's something I guess.

Also mid screen if you do the reset Mura demonstrated - Juggle CR HP into windless spire, you recover in time to counter DI if they DI on landing. If they block, windless MK spire is +2. If they parry immediately, they will perfect parry MK spire, but you can do LK spire instead to whiff and then SPD the parry attempt, so there is a mindgame there. Reversal DP will hit all spires, but you could juggle with cr HP, cancel into drive rush and then block as another option there.
