Now available at McMurray Hatchery - The Bielefelder is a gentle chicken breed that is easy to raise. These gentle giants are are large and robust - cockerels (males) are easily 10-12 pounds. Hens (females) aren't much smaller and lay beautiful dark brow eggs. This relatively new dual-purpose breed is great for both meat and eggs.
