The collection is about a love story, a love of McQueen and a love of great British style -- from military coats to overblown ball gowns.
Sharp tailoring. A nipped in waist with a masculine dropped shoulder and an exaggerated hip gives an hourglass silhouette.
The McQ Autumn/Winter 2012 show was produced in collaboration with Punchdrunk.

She did a remarkable job. I liked everything. Didn't need the leaves or theatrics, but they added to the presentations mood. All the beauty, and strength without the preponderance of mental illness. Fashion is terrific when it's inspiring not disturbing. Jerrybaba

Very WW2 inspired with the subdued colours and masculine shapes. Could have turned out a bit boring but Sarah pulled it off. I like!

beautifully done...but i have agree with some of you and say that it definitely wasn't as breath taking as old mcqueen's work. however, there wouldn't be any other way to make it "more mcqueen". no one else can be mcqueen, but him, himself. it is still a fabulous collection though. :)

There's such a lot of negative comments on here Saying that this show isn't McQueen enough. Obviously Sarah Burton isn't Alexander McQueen she is a designer in her own right. Nothing of no-one could ever replicate Alexanders work but he was unique but I think this show is still an amazing spectacle and we'll put together and very creative also.. I have worked with Alexander in the past and I believe he would of approve of this Very much

This is a sub-line of mcqueen..right? For example: "Marc by Marc Jacobs" And" Marc Jacobs" "Roberto Cavalli" and "Just Cavalli" This is "Alexander Mcqueen" and "MCQ" I think this is something more like Sarah Burton vision.

@Robertking1996 I think it's because the McQ line has men's clothes, and they don't want to do a men's only fashion show for the McQ line (try to kill 2 birds with one stone by showing the men's clothes to editors and buyers and save some money)

I think sarah has done a great job continuing the spirit of mcqueen, but sometimes, I feel that she will never be able to develop her own style as long as she continues to work in mcqueen, but on the other hand, I don't ever want mcqueen & mcq (the brand) to be replace by a different style... so on one hand I'm kind of happy about what she's doing, but on the other hand I also feel kind of ambiguous about it...

Although beautiful and the tailoring is precise, it's not the spectacle Lee would have done. Nothing in the show left me surprised or wondering. There wasn't a reason that reaction that he would have wanted.

I bet Sarah knows what she's doing after working with Lee so many years, but this just doesn't seem right, her collections are so beautiful and full of details, but they are so safe, they are portraying what we consider perfection. I just have this impression they are meant only to be sold being worked under safe concepts, I don't see darkness anymore, I don't see social criticism anymore, I don't see inclusion anymore... It just doesn't seem right. It's a high fashion game now.

i did not by any means hate this collection at all, but this just did not do McQueen any justice at all. This was so average, and it lacked the originality and avant garde of McQueen. It kind of reminded me of Burberry ...*shriek* this definitely was disappointing
