Bare in mind that United Vs Chelsea was the game of the weekend in terms of the Big Six. Man United whacked Chelsea for 80+ of those 90 minutes. And YET, where was the praise for any of the players? Garnacho had fun with Cucurella and James and his name didn’t come up once, Amrabat ran the midfield and was only mentioned in super chats, even Mctominay was only mentioned really by Grizz. I get it’s easy to go at Enzo Caicedo cus they’re 100m signings (trust me I know they’ve been poor - Enzo more than Cai) but every single player falls into the same category of unproven u23 talents who’ve had no evidence to show they can handle the pressure. I’ve watched this team week in week out so I feel I can make a judgement on the source of the problem 11 men all playing shit week in week out - surely it’s one man’s fault no? Look at them as blank silhouettes in a starting XI unit for once. You guys wanna take it easy on Poch but even when we win it’s not cus of him. Let’s delve into it: Played one system in preseason and completely reversed and changed to a different one in the season From Liverpool to GW5 or smth he played Chilwell LEFT WING and Colwill LB. Results have been far from good- he’s lost as much as he’s drawn or won. His only ‘good games’ have been against the big boys, and I can comfortably say its not even his doing. Chelsea have in recent history always turned up the heat for big games and even then, Spurs was a terrible performance bailed out by 9 men, City was a basketball game and we were carried by individual brilliance. Only Arsenal was a good Poch game. He’s tactically inept - like Matisse said, terrible build up. All good teams (prime example Arsenal vs Wolves ) attack numbers in the box while attacking, but when Chelsea attack, there is literally no movement or threat by numbers We can’t even get to the 3rd phase because the manager sets and structures the team in such a horrible way. The players that are catching heat are ones that I want at my club for the next decade, because I know a competent tactical manager can do something with them. Poch has shown next to NOTHING to prove that he’s the man we should be backing for the next few years Yes, the board and recruitment team deserve to get a LOT of heat because of their stupid over-25 policy (they rejected Maddison because he was 26 in the summer) - no experience of any kind let alone title winning experience. But even with such players, Poch has set up his teams in ways that have turned me off EVERY single GW to date
