Ive noticed the chance to sell items is basedon the grade near your name which i believe is either just popularity or a combination of pop and attitude. Selling as C to A* might result in failure to sell, so keep an eye for your targets popularity too. Selling has a big chance to put popularity and attitude at loss though, so be sure to be in fashion, shoot hoops and help npcs.

@@Nxlyiss you press the eye to look at the npc, then you hold T to talk to them, however i like to rapidly tap T since i believe its faster that way to initiate conversation, then once a chat bubble opens up you can select a different dialogue option on the above choice by clicking either side of it, if you are holding an item you want to sell you will find the dialogue option to sell it. Note that you cant initiate dialogue if you keep eating the item, lifting the item.
